Sally Gardens on Celtic Harp
I adapted this from Christy-Lyn’s arrangement of Sally Gardens. I added the rolled chords and a variation on the second verse. I hope you like it! (Let me know in the comments😁)

Thank you!
Gorgeous! I love your variations on Christry-Lyn's arrangement. While the whole thing is great, I preferred the second half. I'm used to Salley Gardens being performed at that speed. It is a sad song about a man who didn't listen to his love when he was young, and now lives with bittersweet regret..Salley is an old word for willow tree. The lyrics are by Yates. Again, you did a magnificent job. You play like an angel!

Thank you! Having played it myself I have a hard time analyzing it. How was the second verse different? I want to do all I can to improve my playing. 😁

@@melora-on-harp You slowed down, starting with the first rolled chord. You sped up a little bit near the end, then slowed down again for the outro. I hate metronomes and they are indispensable for keeping on tempo. There are free online metronomes.

@@leighharwood3886 Thanks! One of my biggest struggles is playing everything too fast. I’ll have to check out some metronome apps. 😄
I love this, so soothing to hear you play such a magnificent instrument!
Very beautifully done ❤ I really enjoyed listening to your playing. Thank you for sharing your talent ❤

Beautifully played. And it looks so effortlessly (which, I bet) is not the case.

Have you listened to Scarborough Fair in a Celtic arrangement sung by Hayley Westenra? Look it up! It would be great if you set that one up...
Lovely performance! I have the same harp but have not played it much this year, you have inspired me!
