In 80% of patients, benign parotid gland tumors are found.
and since this cancer doesn't spread, you have the right to have surgery.
and it can develop into cancer if you ignore it or don't treat it.
3:15 How is cancer of the salivary gland treated?
A patient needs surgery on both the superficial lobe and the neck if they have a malignant tumor in the parotid gland.
Whether the patient needed chemotherapy in addition to radiation is shown by the histopathology result.
4:15 How is cancer of the submandibular gland treated?
When a tumor in the submandibular gland arises from another organ, we must treat both because submandibular cancer can spread to other organs.
If the submandibular gland tumor comes from the lungs or esophagus, chemotherapy must be given first, followed by chemotherapy radiation.
