Salisbury Steak Pot Pie/Casserole

Salisbury steak is one of our favorite dishes. It's easy to make, full of flavor, and will quickly become one of your favorite go-to recipes!

RECIPE:
Meat Mixture
Mix 1 pkt. onion Lipton soup
1-1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. condensed French onion soup in a can
1/4 c. French fried onions
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
If making this into patties, sear both sides in hot pan.
If you prefer it in pot pie/casserole form, brown meat in pan according to video instructions.
Gravy
Rest of condensed French onion soup in a can
1 Tbsp. flour
1/4 c. ketchup
1/4 c. water
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. mustard powder
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 small can of sliced mushrooms
If making patties, pour gravy over and simmer 20-30 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes and vegetable.
If making pot pie/casserole layer meat, your choice of cooked vegetables, gravy, and mashed potatoes in large baking dish. Bake at 350* for 20-30 minutes. Enjoy!

what's not to like, let me count the ways....amount of work, two meals (yay) 😋 fabulous team work, novel creation. love the blessings. I like Joe waiting for Julie before eating. love the components to make this dish. I often make a double batch. one for now and one for the freezer. I keep a log on my phone of meals in the freezer. I love shepherds pie and yours looked so good but I think I'm going to make the patties.I don't remember the last time I made a Salisbury steak! I made the Blueberry Pie!❤Three pieces left and my husband and sons put dibs on them!Thanks for sharing the great recipes!

Shepherds pie is something I've never fixed. My husband might eat this, but my son is a bit pickier lol. Definitely would fall into the comfort food category. Great that you are able to get those deals on the food. That IS quite a large sour cream. I remember when I did the keto diet, I couldn't have yogurt, but I would take the sour cream and sweeten it with one that was allowed, and I would put that in a bowl with strawberries and some of my own granola. My husband said you couldn't tell it was even sour cream. I love watching you two cook together. I've watched the ending a couple of times and I keep trying to figure out what funny thing Joe said to you lol. Have a blessed day and hope you all have a great week.

Thank you!! At the end Joe said that a slice of homemade bread would go good with our dinner. The back story on that is that I had been planning on making bread for the week, but something kept coming up and I never got it done. He was being funny when he said that, because he knew how much I wanted to get it done. Sometimes life happens, though! 🤪
