Don’t use a tow hitch to pull you out and use a blanket to deaden the rope if it should snap. In fact use a kinetic rope

For a 4x4 you don’t use 4 wheels often!

A landy either side of the disco on the dry stuff. Strap around chassis leg and bumper joint. Either front or rear of the stuck disco. Pretty easy recovery to be fair.

The issue was it was properly underwater/mud and nobody fancied getting wet😂

Do you ever wonder why the byways get closed???? Oh, and btw, driving byways is ON road not OFF road- and its illegal to destroy their surfaces.

Hopefully will be taking my L322 down there later in the year. But local lanes first in Surrey

Awesome news on your purchase!! You will have to come along to one of our meets when we get them back up and running hopefully soon. Salisbury plains is a huge area and lots of tracks for you to use but also lots of restricted areas. Do your research on the site and have a look at an OSmap to see where the byways are. The main thing is to have fun but follow the rules :D let us know how you get on! I will see if I can get some of our fellow offroaders to comment with some more useful locations to try.

Love this!!! Although the freelander is more than capable just needs a better driver 😉

Absolute joke, and you’ll be the first people to moan when the byways get closed because you’re not sticking to the correct area and destroy the countryside with your hooligan driving, you’re giving Land Rovers a bad name, stick to pay and play sites and leave the green lanes to the responsible drivers. Would you drive like this on a high street?
