There's a lift in the Imperial War Museum that goes to the top to a platform that gives a fantastic view of Salford Quays. The Lowry gallery is well worth a visit also.

If I remembered correctly, the place next to the IWM North was a construction site three years ago. Now it is such a beautiful place! Must visit again in the future!

This is a nice part of Manchester! We stop there on our way to Wales.at the last part of the video by the market is a lovely shopping centre. Nice walk Neil 👍

It is not Manchester, it is the City of Salford a separate city to Manchester.

Nice place to visit. Next to the industrial area Trafford Park. Manchester United stadium is within walking distance.

Amazing development but no boats / ships and hardly any people ? Are there plans for a marina, museum exhibitions etc. ?

Sure you know my favourite places by now Neil. Here's a reminder. Lyndhurst, Lymington, the Isle of Wight. Don't know if you are familiar with the Island so Here's a little info. Seaside holiday resorts, pretty thatched roofed cottages in pretty villages. The oldest theme park in the country, although most of what I knew as a child is now at the bottom of the English Channel. Lots of history, forts, castles, and Royal homes, Charles 1st, Victoria. There are chines, best known one in Shanklin, lit at night (steep), and of course now the only passenger hovercraft in the world. Hey there is even a pub on the beach. Everything seems to go down a gear when you arrive on the Island, no big roads, only duel carriageway is near Newport. Book ferry we'll in advance and maybe through your hotel, and just slightly out of main season. ( it's cheaper). Hope I haven't rattled on too much Neil, you may know the Island better than me. Sure you and Rebecca will enjoy your trip when you decide to go. 👍

Salford Quays has so many ugly and cheap looking buildings, sadly it remains me of Milton Keynes a place nobody really wants to go to, plus it lacks any natural beauty and nearly always seems cold and windy down here !!
