Salem Travel Vlog & Haul: Ouija Board Museum, Haunted Airbnb & Ghost Tour | Shelly Coco

Travel vlog
Day 1 - I traveled from NYC to Boston. We got stuck on a bridge on the way so I arrived much later than expected. I met Andrew after finally getting into Boston and we got festive lattes, went to antique bookstores, walked around the park, and shopped for Halloween cards.
Day 2 - we got lattes early and sat in the coffee shop playing 1,2,3 he's yours from Gilmore Girls. We got on the Salem Ferry to Salem!! We walked to our air bnb the Daniel's House - one of the oldest buildings in Salem and dropped our bags off. Then we got coffee at the wolf next door coffee, did the trolley tour of Salem, did the Salem witch museum, had lunch at Gulu-Gulu cafe, and went to the black veil. We checked into our airbnb the Daniel's House where Andrew discovered houses built in the 1600s were not made for 6'2 men and we discovered a creepy cupboard. We went to Turners for dinner and had cocktails and clam chowder then met up with the haunted Salem night tour guide to hear all the ghost stories around Salem.
Day 3 - We bumped into the Salem marathon, got coffee at Jaho, walked through the witch trial memorial, got breakfast at ugly mug diner, shopped in HausWitch and Oak & Moss, walked through the haunted happenings street fair, got lunch at Mercy Tavern, toured the witch board/ouija board museum, bought a vintage ouija board from 1966, looked round Vampfangs, shopped in the witch city thrift store, visited the witch house/Corwin house, got candy, and watched Hocus Pocus. We did our temporary tattoos, got scared by the lamps turning off in our airbnb, and tried to connect with the spirits playing with us with the ouija board.
Day 4 - We got coffee at Jaho, walked around the marina, shopped for Johanna Parker goods, toured the cemetery, went to Ye Olde Pepper Companie- the oldest candy shop and got chocolate turtles and fudge. Then we said goodbye to the Daniel's House and got the ferry back to Boston. We had cocktails and lunch before heading to the airport to head home.

Yes, you just need to walk/take an Uber to the harbour. Not sure how often the ferry is, but you can book tickets in advance. It was a nice way to get to Salem from Boston!

@@M3LODY2508 think it depends what day you book, just google Salem ferry from Boston and it should show you prices for your dates. Gets more expensive closer to the date, so book early.

Would you say Boston is cleaner than N.Y.C.? The Boston common is to Boston city what Central Park os to New York. May not be as big as Central park? But in my personal view? Cleaner. And im a native born New Yorker from the Bronx.

In general, yes, I’d say Boston felt cleaner than NYC. Boston common is no where near as big as Central Park I’d say.

What was the name of the store where you found the plants? And the oddities?

I’m not sure which store you are referring to as several stores had plants and oddities, each store we were in should include the store front and name before we go in

Hi. What hotel did you stay at that is close to the ferry? Or what hotel is close to the train that goes to Salem? I’m planning a trip to Salem, but want to stay in Boston and I’m not sure where to stay. Thanks

We stayed at the harborside inn in Boston which was one of the closest hotels to the ferry terminal. I highly recommend taking the ferry. Depending on which crew you get on the boat, some will give a talk during the trip to give you some background to Boston and Salem.

I like how he asks what moredangerous, manopoly which teaches how to cpunt money and how capitalism works or asking a board fun questions. Then covers how a woman was consumed with rhe questions shr asked and killed herself to understand ! Look. I don't have anything against ouija boards f9r those who know what they are getting into and what they are doing but marketing towards kids who are likely naive and don't k ow what they are doing is more dangerous than monopoly js
