I haven't read Salem's Lot, but I'll get there! It and The Stand are a couple of all time favourites, not just of King's but of all the books I've read, so colour me intrigued.

Salems lot is one of my favorite king books that got me back into reading more of his books. Right now I'm debating whether to read different seasons next or the stand uncut edition.😊❤📚

Time to get to Dark Tower 5….which is a sequel of sorts to Salems Lot. You may or may not see a key character show back up ;)

Yeah so I heard. I’ve already had the identity of the crossover character spoiled for me lol.

A new favorite!😍 yay!! It was a satisfying ending and this story shows up in numerous king books.

Yes! Another fan of Salem's Lot lol. This is definitely my favorite of his, it has all the things I love about Stephen King. The creepy ambiance, the small town aspect, and awesome characters (my fave is Father Callahan). The ending was superbly done and I agree, incredibly sad. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it so much. I finished the Dark Tower back in early 2020 and I agree, it is definitely a series that you have to be in for the long haul, but it really helped me develop a relationship with the characters. The ending of the series is definitely a polarizing one for readers, although in my opinion I loved how it ended and thought it made the most sense. Just blew me away. I think the last book is my favorite alongside Wolves of the Calla.

I feel like I've already decided in my mind that after I finish out the Dark Tower series im going to make my way through Kings works because like you said, his character work is so great! Great review Chas!

Thank you Circe. I’m glad you’re going to continue reading him. I think I will too. This is a good one to read after Wizard & Glass, because there is a crossover in Wolves of the Calla.

I hated The Stand, I didn't like Carrie, I didn't like The Shining. I did like The Dead Zone quite a bit, but I'm loving this book.

@@BookishChas I rated both Carrie & The Shining as a 3 out of 5. They were okay...just not great. The Stand is abysmal. One of the worst books I ever read in my life. Give The Dead Zone a try. I think I prefer the Christopher Walkin film slightly over the book, but The Dead Zone is legit good.

So I started watching but I'm gonna come back after I finish it cause I don't want any spoilers at all Ernie spoilers at all whatsoever I don't know anything about the book so I'll be back lol
