Hi! It's an Informative vlog! Looks like you're teaching under early childhood program in China, if I am not mistaken. 1. Are you teaching in public school or EFL/ ESL? 2. What's your classroom setting experience in the Philippines? 3. I'm a graduate of 4- year course but not education related. Got my TESOL/TEFL/TEYL in 2017. Been in esl industry (Chinese) for more than 5 years. Currently talking my 18 units in teaching (prof ed) but no experience in a classroom setting. Will I have the chance to land a job in China? Mike Cruz Hi! Thanks for watching our vlogs! To answer your questions: 1. During our first three years here, we taught in a private international school where we had both kindergarten and training school classes. 2. We only had around 2-3 years of classroom experience before we left for China. 3. Both of us ARE NOT professional teachers nor do we have teaching licenses. We are actually RNs with around 4 years of teaching experience before leaving for China. I think you have a good chance of getting hired if you find the right agency/ employer! 💪💪 Go lang ng go!

Do Filipinos get salaries similar to Americans (20k+) after at least 2-3 years experience working in China or are they generally underpaid no matter how many years they work?

Filipino English teachers here are getting less than Native Speakers. It would take more than 2-3 years of working for the same company to get the same salary. There’s always a big difference in salary not even for Filipinos only but between Natives and Non-natives (or in some cases white vs non-white folks).

Hi!My itatanong lng ako paano kung my friend ako dto sa China na Chinese at gusto nia na mag trabho ako sa knya bilang Customer service Agent,kaso hinde ma afford ang magagastos nia sa pg pagawa nia ng visa para sa aking,ok lng ba na mag work ako sa knya n walang visa bsta mag iingat lng ako. Eh paano kung mahuli ako ng pulls na os ako ano ang pwede gwin ng immigration saking eh kukulong ba nila ako ,kung sakali man ilang arw un at deffort ba pagkatapos.

Thank you for the question po. For us, much better na may work visa ka to really secure your stay sa China. Kapag nagstart ka na to work illegally, no chance of having vacations ka din sa pinas. You can’t even go to other provinces kasi may check din na gagawin for sure. As for the detention, it depends. We don’t have any idea kung gaanu katagal. It all depends sa discrepancy ng pinagdetain sa iyo. May iba months na. May iba, years. And then kapag narelease ka, may record ka na lalo na if you plan on going out ulit from pinas. In short, secure a working visa to avoid all these hassles.

Hello po eto po mga tanong ko. 1. Alin po yung mas maganda in terms of assurance tska d ba po kong solo kalang tas syempre ibang lugar, mas ok po ba yung direct hiring ka or through agency? 2. Kung through agency po yung hiring mo po, pwede po bang makapili ng lugar kung san mo gusto magturo? 3. Pwede po bang makapasok biling isang teacher sa public school specifically middle school either through agency or direct? 4. Sabi nyo po in demand yung math/science teacher, oks lang po ba yun or eligible pa rin po bang makapagturo(public) kahit hindi gaanu or hindi marunong mag mandarin? Thank you po😉☺

7000 is way too small especially if your working in beijing. if they provide u free accommodation, u should get a salary between 13-17k intro salary.

Hello, I am currently in Shanghai China as a teacher. Ang offer is 8000RMB, then 500RMB food allowance, tapos free accomodation. Mabubuhay na po kaya ako nito dito plus yung mga need ipadala sa Pinas na sustento?

I work in Shanghai and I guess 8k is okay as long as you have free accommodation. For a teacher though, that salary is too little even if you are a non-native English speaker but for an entry level teacher that is okay. after your contract I suggest you look for a better paying job. you can land a job that pay's 20-28k plus housing allowance. tyagaan lang mag hanap.

The rule is Working Visa (Z Visa) should be obtained from the applicant's home country.

I applied online for a English teaching position in China. The recruiter offered me 7k RMB salary but it's not in Beijing it's three hrs away from Beijing daw. Is it a good offer already?

@@PinoyChopsticks They sent me the contract. The company is located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. The name of the company or agency is Zhengzhou Zhongsheng Education Consulting Co. LTD. They offer 7k RMB salary befroe tax. Then 1500 RMB per month housing allowance. Is this offer fair enough? Your thoughts will be very helpful.

William Gonzaga We used to work in Zhengzhou and tbh, we think it's kinda low but you can probably survive if you're frugal. If you really really want to come here, you can take the offer and just move to another city/school that pays better after your contract ends. Have you taken the TOTA?

If you intend to use Business Visa to teach in China, DON'T. That's illegal and there are consequences.

Nice video. Very informative for newbies. I suggest you tackle the new policies being implemented by China regarding hiring process of English Foreign Teachers who are NNES (Non-Native English Speaker). Discussing these new policies will be beneficial to the NNES hopefuls especially the Filipinos who are dreaming to teach in China.

Welcome. I taught in China for 16 years and now I'm back home for good as not everyone is a LIFER in China . I strongly suggest you tackle in your vlogs the present policies being implemented. There are so many provinces in China that still do not accept NNES unless you earned your degree from an Anglo=phone countries. Some provinces deemed NNES teachers illegal. And some provinces accept NNES teachers but only for them to teach in Training Schools which are less respected than teaching in public schools. Thanks.

charmaine Patawaran Free lodging ba? Mas okay sana yun kasi mahal talaga bahay sa shanghai. If you can haggle and they can give you at least 10k, malaking bagay yun.

@Pinoy Chopsticks I send you email. I just really need help when it comes to having a legit Agency to go in China because we went to POEA and we contacted one Agency that's legit however they told us that they just put it as teacher but the real job there is DH or tutor Nanny.

Adelyn Valles Hello po! We don’t have any agencies na pwedeng ma-recommend because we have limited experience pagdating dun. Thru direct hire kasi kame talaga. As in dito kame sa China naghanap when we changed employers (both times).
