Because women are given all welfare, subsidies, privileges, laws, free education and reservations on the cost of downgrading men. So they get empowered and ruling the men, while men are oppressed and less qualified or illitrate. The days are not far when women will talk of male empowerment bcoz they need men to send at border, do dirty works so that women can enjoy life at the cost of men. So there are problems in finding match for a girl and in coming time many girls will live single. That's why I always advocate to give equal subsidies, facilities to men and women.

@@gajai8132 your last line doesn't put a blanket on your narrow minded thinking that is reflected in all that you wrote before that last line. The ratio of male to female is bad in our country and empowering women is so needed because it is men and our patriarchal that still tries to oppress women in the name of culture and traditions. Ask yourself this, why is empowerment of women needed in first place? What do you even mean by saying at the cost of men? When someone doesn't get educated it is due to their own choices, family or due to circumstances. So portraying men as victims in a society as patriarchal as India's is ridiculous and lacks any rationale. It is women who had to fight to be able to join army as at one point women couldn't join army due to law that existed back then. Even now they have to fight for their rights due to lack of respect from their colleagues (men). Male ego just can't see women in an equal or superior position then them and hence can't take orders if she is his senior. Even today there is a significant portion of men that dictates how their wife or sister or daughter should live their life as if they know better.

@@swan_909 what you have written is completely untrue. Do you how many laws favour only women and not a single law favour men. All laws, privileges, rights etc are misused by women up-to 90% and deserving women are not getting benefited. Similarly victim men have nothing where they can go. Who says there is a patriarchy. In every household women only dictates the family. If in army men are not getting orders from female boss then they should be dismissed. Why government not sending women at border because they wants to enjoy life and privileges. Why only men are needed at the time of war.

@@gajai8132 there are some laws that favor women and that is needed in a country like India where women are blamed for everything even if they are the victim. Law might favor women but society doesn't. Let's not even talk about law considering how long law takes to give justice to a woman. Lol women might dictate household chores but the important decisions are mostly taken by men. There are rules and expectations on girls in the house but those same rules or expectations are not applied to boys in that same house. It is men of the house who decide whether the women would study or work or become homemaker. It is men who decide who expect women to handle the house as well as work if they are working. They won't do a thing to help with household chores because that is categorized as a women's job (by men). They decide what hours are appropriate for her to stay out and what type of clothes are ok for her to wear and go out. Even today women don't have freedom to choose their own life path as it is not "normal" for her to not be married at a certain age and have a few kids. If you don't see how patriarchal indian society is, you either don't know what equality is or you have normalized patriarchy in your mindset.

My boyfriend focuses on my study more than his own. So that I become self dependent and he is proud of me
