Hi bro 👋 can u advise me pls ?
This video really made me a bit sad… was contemplating moving to Toronto to be with family but these hourly rates they pay in Ontario is borderline slave wages. How can you ever hope to purchase a home as an RN or NP salary in Toronto when real estate is so expensive? I’m living in Washington DC, USA right now. I have 6 years experience and working day shift hospital float pool weekend option and my base rate is $68 USD per hour from 7am to 7pm. For the last 4 hours of my shift I get an additional $7 USD more per hour for a total of $75. I am about to graduate with of Doctorate of Nursing Practice DNP in 18 months from a highly ranked nursing school and was even more sad to see that NP in Ontario make even less than RNs do. I don’t understand how in your video, the nurse would get steady decent pay raises with every year of experience until 8 years. Then the next thing you see is nurse with 25 year experience and it’s only a dollar more than a nurse with 8 years…????? How is that possible and acceptable?? Is it because nursing wages are capped in Canada? I guess Canada doesn’t have a nursing shortage to pay these type of wages…

I’m a dual citizen US and Canada and almost an RN 2023 May. USA nurses make soooo much more money! I don’t know that I can move back to Canada for such low pay for nurses but all my family is there
