he's a hell of a popper as well as a crowd pleaser..there's no teaching that...to be able to entertain a crowd who knows nothing about popping or the foundations of it and at the same time be able to impress judges to win competitions...salah's the ish......mr wiggles was another example of what salah does not just the og version..lol.

I feel like Salah vs. a popper is like a gymnast vs. a bboy. Like, yeah, he can contort his body in crazy ways and hit really hard and it's pretty amazing, but...I don't know, it just doesn't seem like dancing. He's like a street performer who is out solely to catch eyes and blow people's minds. It belongs on some show like America's Got Talent and not an actual popping battle. When a sick beat comes on before Mr. Wiggles starts dancing, it's like, "Oh shit...he's gonna tear it up." When a beat comes on for Salah, it's like, "Let's see what weird shit he does now."

+Tony Carmichael his style is P.A.B.E popping animation boogaloo effects and is perfect becouse combines the artistic and the dance together, when you are dancing one must transmit emotions, feel the music, play with the music, show your style etc... for that reason salah is a genius and is a icon to many countries, the public get crazy when he dances, traditional dancers are boring, they dont know the essence of dancing that is feel the music, flow with it and transmit. i admire salah i´m from peru and he is a good reference for me.

Personally Mr. Wiggles and the Electric Boogaloos inspire me, so I'm going to prefer someone with more of an original style (smooth and rhythmic vs. over-the-top like Salah). It's all good though, and you have some good points so I shouldn't be so heated about Salah. Eres to EEUU o de Peru? De que parte? Mis abuelos son de México. if you see salah's early vids he would just dance which was cool but he wins more battles showing that he can do what the other guy can and more!

They wiped the dance floor together, but Salah wasn't the one being used as the mop, period. =P Sure, Salah clowned, mocked, and poked Tommy Boy's patience, but then, it sure as shit takes two hands to clap. And Salah did that whilst puling off entrancing movements, as well as, getting the peeps on his side. It's something few can brag about that and God be damned if Tommy Boy says he can.

dance is all about taking any style and making it your own. everything is about evolution. i dont wanna always see the same boring moves and over and over. things eventually die if they dont evolve. salah has changed the way popping is to a form that everyone enjoys regardless of their appreciation of popping or breaking. dont get me wrong im all about old school and strict technique but salah has all that but incorporated all this it into something different

thats his unique style :), and thats what got him his popularity.

I think the bottom line is, Salah is a good popper but an even better entertainer. This means you could be a much better popper than Salah but when he starts doing his tricks, he's hard to beat. He's also good at making a fool of whoever he battles. Good talent.

Facts. I had a similar thing happen a couple months back. I, a popper, was put up against a Bboy in front of non dancers. I like to think I'm good, but how to win in front of non dancers to a Bboy. The Bboy was okay, but to the untrained eye, they're gonna go with the tricks everything.

you have to remember that a while ago (BEFORE youtube), Tommy Boy was so good compared to the rest that he was compared to Mr Wiggles. People even called for them to battle because he was so similar in style. It's just the era he came from. Of course, his style seems a little older when you see it now.
