I still felt they kinda made her into a gag character. I mean a old war vet grandma is stringing her to fight... the only part Sakura contributed was being a healer (Which is a contribution for sure). But cmon she aint a fighter : P

The only time Kishimoto actually write a storyline for Sakura in Shippiden instead of the weird obsessive bromance of Naruto and Sasuke.

Gods, where did you see Kishimoto’s bromance? If you read the manga, everything is quite restrained. The studio enhanced the bromance with openings and endings that have nothing to do with the manga. Fillers too.🤔

It's was a very good fight between 2/3 The Hidden Sand Village greatest puppet users they've ever produce despite it was a family affair between Grandma and her Grandson.. all Granny Chiyo wanted to do is see her Grandson Lord Sasori again as she misses him dearly since his disappearance from The Sand Village.. Granny Chyio came out of retirement when she heard about her Grandson returning to the Village but she's heartbroken to hear that Lord Sasori is part of the attack on her beloved Nation..

I agree about Hidan vs Shikamaru the rest are dogshit, its Dragonball all over agaiin. Simplier fights with actual ninja stuff is the best fights in Naruto, too bad the Author is derailed his vision and became too reliant on other Genre, when the world he created is vastly superior. @@thaik56i agree. this was the first actual 1 on 1 battle that opened Naruto Shippuden and it really blazed this anime to huge success. It was so well written, conceptualized, animated and was a long time coming for Sakura. Above all, this is definitely one of the most Badass fights in anime history.

This is true. The fight between Sakura and Chie against Sasori was recognized as the best and took first place in the top Naruto 99 voting.

Sasori and Granny Chiyo's multitasking skills were top notch. I esp love the 10 vs 100 puppets part.

That's like my 10th time watching this fight, cuz of the puppets, strategy and some real Shinobi ninjutsu! This and shikamaru against temari is my favorite in the whole series! Later on it turned out to be op fights! That got little to do with what ninjas are suppose to be

Sakura is that girl period. People try to play in her face. Hands down one of THE best fights in the series. She held it down and truly demonstrated how much she grew. This is when I recognized her as a bad ass

She gets royally screwed in the vast majority of time she's given, but yes, she's given just flat out the best fight in the entire series in my opinion. A fight where she goes up against the Akatsuki's fucking Doomsday prepper and in spite of both her and Chiyo being at a massive disadvantage, are able to come out on top. Granted only to get once again forgotten and called useless in spite of this entire arc when the show goes off the fucking deep end, but still, really good fight.

She just unfortunately got shoved on a team with two people with busted abilities, kinda like how Tenten got eclipsed by Neji and Rock Lee. Put her in the Ino-shika-cho formation and she'd look like a powerhouse

She was low chakra here, storing for her byakugou seal, also her first battle, so its amazing she was still alive, chiyo and her are good combo

Chiyo at her prime was above three legendary sannins. She fought hanzo several times and never lost against him

this was a piece of art, the ticking clock, the sounds, her strenght, everything. Hands down one of my top 5 moments of naruto fight.

Back in the good old days, when fights were tactical, a single S-rank ninja was nightmare-fuel for normal chuunin and jounin, the 3rd Hokage was the strongest Hokage, the Kyuubi wasn't a misunderstood sadboi, and Naruto wasn't a reincarnated divine prince.

Back when chapter one existed and giant animals and titens fight and in the end of part one the power fight between Naruto and sasuke and eve power as well so and don't forget that madara power was hinted in the end of part one and all of Shippuden and his fight with hashirama was established in part one so hard work beat talent is not the main them lee lost to gara and Naruto was gifted form the very beginning so without these types of fight no one will care just look how Shippuden fight are more popular than any fight in part one

well its good imo the show went peak during itachi vs sasuke and pain vs naruto/jiraya those days were on 🔥 the story went downhill when kaguya and those damn space critters plus the biggest lie of the series that naruto and sasuke were incarnations of ashura and indra the whole essence was thrown to trash naruto's hardwork and motivation to be stronger became a lie cuz fact is he was destined from greatness from the beginning as ashura's reincarnation all those talk no jutsu with neji became useless and he died believing in this lie

This is pure art starting at 36:19 LOOOOVE the puppets's animation. So cool.

One of my favorite Shippuden fights ever! Sasori is such a badass character ever since he was first introduced, especially when he revealed his real face lol Such an epic moment back then!

Weapons, attacks and animations of all these puppets are so unique and creative. Hands down the best fight in the series!

Bruh the development for Sakura from the end of pt 1 to here was crazy. This fight was GAS!

Grandma Chiyo is the MVP of this arc lol .. Fighting akatsuki equaly at her age, and saved Gaara with her forbidden Jutsu .. What a chad!

Chiyo was defeated from the start. She can only control ordinary puppets, Sasori's parent puppets and sealing puppets. while Sasori has many puppets with super powers. Since the beginning of the fight, Sasori took out the Kazekage 3 puppet, and his attack is iron sand which could hinder the movement of the puppets, what could Chiyo do besides playing with the puppets? not to mention the attack from the kazekage 3 puppet was hell crazy big, didn't you see that the place was destroyed because of the crazy attack from the kazekage 3 puppets? Even Chiyo was unable to create an antidote for Sasori's poison for 2 years, still denialing Sakura contribution even Sasori and Chiyo admit her a lot

I desperately want more big battles like these for sakura, out of the three main characters she's always been the least developed

It's because kishimoto said that he doesn't know how to write female characters. SPOILER ALERT even in the latest boruto chapter, he made 3 female characters mess up/attacked and need to be saved by their male peers.

I read something different. He did a survey of how he wants to represent the female character but people rejected his idea of a strong female character like Sakura . They want the female character to be cute not strong like male character so kishimoto changed Sakura's character to be less strong than her male counterparts but Kishimoto found a way to give her strength & developed a cute character like Hinata. Japanese society prefers meek women more that's y there magical girls'character are more popular.

My fave Akatsuki member Sasori is just a boy wanting the love of his parents. So innocent but war turned him into this. Sakuras best fight. One of my fave fight in shippuden

people need to realize that Sakura and Lady Chiyo both needed each other to fight Sasori, because without Sakura, Lady Chiyo even admitted that she won't be able to destroy Hiruko ( Sasori's greatest defense), and although it is true that Chiyo controlled Sakura from the beginning up till halfway of the fight, she only did that to help Sakura evade Sasori's attacks, she wasn't controlling Sakura's combat skils, and she pointed out many times throughout the fight that Sakura is doing well on her own (she even said that Sakura exceeded her expectations), and after she lost her arm, she was only able to *partially* help Sakura, so to say that Chiyo was carrying Sakura in this fight is a stretch, and Sakura pretty much boxed with Sasori and the 3rd Kazekage all on her own. edit: Oh I forgot, Sakura was also nerfed during this time because while she was fighting, she was constantly trying to form her byakugou seal, Tsunade even went as far as to forbid Sakura from surgeries and fights because forming her seal is not to be taken lightly, but she still performed surgeries and fought even though Tsunade forbids her, and that is all the more reason why I love her (I'm a girl so your "Sakura simp" statements won't work on me).

Chiyo would been dead due to poison. Sakura was intelligent enough to analyze the poison even the likes of Chiyo cant analyze

The manga art of this fight was amazing. I didn't hit me until much later that this would be Sakura's only shiny moment in Shippuden. Her anti-poison was critical in this battle. I stopped watching the shippuden anime shortly after this arc because of all the crummy fluff they inputted between important scenes. That crap drove me crazy.

I'd definitely recommend watching it still. You can find filler lists online that can tell you which episodes you can skip to get to the story and good bits. The final arc is pretty mediocre in my opinion, but everything leading up to it is great.

Sakura's best fight the whole series!

The hidden sand arc, Asuma's arc, and the Pain arc might be the top tier stories for shippuden...along with the battle between minato and obito.

As a kid waatching Sasori and Hidan gave me sleepless night 😂 but so happy that they fought my favourite characters -Shikamaru and Sakura

Sasori really had a sad backstory he just wanted to be loved and his parents to come back thats why he always hated waiting because he always waited for his parents to come back but white fang killed them Damm thats sad 😢

Most underrated character

One of the best fights from the entire series, and I don’t even like Sakura that much. This was just amazing. Edit: As I said I’m not a big Sakura fan, solely because the creator just massively neglected her as the story progressed. She had the potential to be one of the best female anime characters of all time, but we ended up with what we got. A bland character due to writing. HOWEVER, Sakura shined in this fight and I’m glad she got at least one good fight in the series. (Actually in my opinion, one of the best in the Naruto franchise.) Her punching the iron sand columns was so cool and really shows how powerful strength wise Tsuande made her. I like that Chiyo and Sasori mainly use justus and puppets, but Sakura relies solely on chakra control and raw strength. It contrasts very well with all the crazy stuff Chiyo and Sasori do.

I like Sakura precisely because she does not have an innate kekei genkai, her exotic appearance and devotion to her love. Everyone says they don't like her personality, but what really angers them is that Naruto is deeply friend-zoned. By the way, Hinata’s devotion does not infuriate them, or Ino, who went over to Sai. People hate her because Kishimoto has made her too annoying and useless in the first season. During Shippuden she wasn't as useless but Kishimoto didn't made enought to make her likeable. However Hinata is the most annoying and useless character ever, so I don't know why people don't hate her too

I thought the same. Of course he wanted to give the spotlight to the main characters but he should have found a different excuse for them being late 😂 And another dumb thing is how the Sand is useless here. Naruto is a lot more concerned for Gaara than his own siblings. I know the show isn't about them, but that's too much 😂

So, why exactly did Sakura become a loser fighting-wise when the first arc in _Shippūden_ establishes her as a total badass and a nicely round character? She smart, kind, self-confident and strong-willed, and great at taijutsu. Damn, she can evade thousands of projectiles shot at her at once. Since none of the characteristics which make her shine here are strictly female attributes, I'm starting to feel Kishimoto's "I'm bad at writing female characters" is just BS and what he meant is "I'm bad at writing characters who aren't called Naruto or Sasuke".

@@shravankhedekar you ain't wrong about that.. as Sasuke did very well in Lord Orochimaru challenge which resulted Sasuke getting his Curse Mark and Lord Orochimaru changed his mind and decided he wanted Sasuke rather than Itachi.. the start of a chain of events which lead to Sasuke joining Lord Orochimaru

At his last time, Sasori for a split milisecond thought his both real parents are return back. Chiyo believe Sasori might have a last humanity left, it explain when parents puppet in hugging pose trigger his humanity for split second, but killed Sasori in the end (Sasori as child use those puppets to hug him to fill the empty void, and Chiyo saw it)

It was surreal that each of the Akatsuki members are Kage level.

Aside from the fight sakura never gets credited for her specialty in medical ninjustsu. She created an antidote for sasoris poison whos reputation superceded chiyo herself.

The one time where Sakura was actually a good character. Sucks they didn't keep developing her after this.

Sakura is most fave character in Naruto and i hate how they ruined her character , Never thought theres alot of people loved her including me hoping that there is someone create mangga of her light novel and and create anime out of it .

She just worked hard with determination and her own mental strength. Became strong but also a healer. Not really. Most of the “Kages” are weak except for the Raikage’s and The Hokage’s of course. With tsunade being the weakest. Also some exceptions like ohnoki. Most S rank Rogue ninjas could take the others out.

Those puppets are so powerful even the ninjas participated in 4th ninja war who are jonins and chunins become genins compared to this puppets

Puppet jutsu has to be one of the most fascinating jutsus it doesnt require too much chakra but a lot of control, and intelligence it wouldve been great to have Kankuro been a more vital character to show off the jutsu, and wouldve been even better to see him get the 10 puppets even if he could only control 3 or 2 at first and slowly show off more because they all had unique abilities too that was cool

One of the best things to come out of shippuden. The stakes early on were the best thing in the series, it felt in some level grounded yet still pulling amazing feats maintaining the ballance. The ballance was entirely lost once the power levels skyrocketed into a dragon ball similar dragon ball effect

My favorite fight. Love the different elements that were presented in this fight.

One of the best fights in the entire series. Well writen and great cooperation and plot twists. Took a bit too long bit it was amazing.

*Sasori :* if its not for your antidotes and Chiyo's help and your long chat i would have killed you from the start *Sakura :* if its not for your hundreds of puppets and poisons, body puppets, heartcore, pump i would have knocked you down from the start

lol puppets is sasori's fighting style. chiyo's puppet skill is not a skill of sakura. infact, if chiyo didnt control sakura from the start she is already dead. sakura dont have the skill to dodge hidden weapons of sasori.

This arc was the best.The whole series should have stayed like this.But they screwed up later.

Easily the top-tier fight. Feels grounded. Unlike in later scenes you know Naruto would win in the end because Naruto

One of the best fights in the series.

This battle kinda long and took serveral episodes its kinda interesting the tactical team work of chiyo and sakura is quite impressive, I also like guy fight scene with kisame it's more like ninja thing combative not just throwing flashy things with huge explosions that cover the whole nation 😂

(Like fakes her love for Naruto then after being rightfully rejected goes on a rouge mission with Sai, Kiba and Lee to find Sasuke then Knocks all of them out with a Sleeping gas, then finds Sasuke and says Im going to kill you with this poisoned kunai but I can't because I love you and gets saved by naruto who gets poisoned by the kunai she made which apparently was useless against sasuke because he's immune to it thanks to Orochimaru.)

However this show is so main characters centered. Gaara was Temari and Kakuro's brother, but Naruto seems the most concerned and angry one. Temari couldn't care less. They even listened to that story while Gaara was dead 😂 Konoha has a lot of powerful jonins but it seems that in the Sand only Chiyo is at that level 😂

When people say shit about Sakura I always remember they that Sakura and Chyo VS Sasori was one of the best fights ever in this anime.

The version of Sakura we should’ve had thru all of shippuden. Definitely was OP at this point.

Sasori should not have lost that fight, seeing it again, over time one realizes that it makes no sense to destroy the third Kazekage's puppet. The style of the iron sand that looks like a spider web totally gave him the victory, but it makes no sense that he gave the iron sand a geometric shape. Attacking using the puppet also makes no sense, in conclusion Sasori was nerfed. It would have been better if Neji or Lee came to help. I also hadn't realized that Sakura was given the powers.

Sasori could've used more human puppets, but the plot wanted him to lose. Sasori also could've avoided the final strike, but he was tired of living and chose to die.

Who would've thought that Naruto will end with marcians and resurrections... damn, it always hurts.

Imagine Sasori meets other Akatsuki members in hell "Hey this guy got killed by Sakura".

I'm still wondering what will be the last scroll at the back of his body? The first one is flame, the second is water, the 3rd were 100 puppets, for sure the last one is the most powerful

No natter how many times I watch this fight, it'll forever paint the strength of a single Akatsuki Member (and he wasnt even the strongest)
