To answer the question about the darkening. I believe a long time ago a bunch of kids had seizures due to a bunch of bright flashy scenes in anime (I think it was specifically Pokémon) so it was mandated by law any TV show with those bright flashes had to darken them. The reason why blue ray sales are so big is they don’t have the artificial darkening so it is seen as the true version of the show

Whoever picks the cuts in the edits gotta do a better job😂..everytime something pivotal happens it cuts the essential parts and leaves in the fluff

All I am going to say is make sure they watch the blue ray version of the next episode.
