They did return to the playoffs in the 2019 season, once again breaking the Saints' hearts in the playoffs in the Wild Card winning 26-20 in overtime, before falling to the 49ers 10-27 in the divisional round. The Vikings haven't made the playoff since then.

Every now and then I rewatch this video, after years of repeated failure in the playoffs, this play was the greatest thing I have ever watched. I remember exactly where I was and what I was thinking when this happened. It never fails to bring me to tears of joy. I don't care what anybody says, this is the best play of all time and there is no way I would ever think otherwise. I'll never see a play as sensational or spectacular as this play. And I won't see anything close to it as long as Kirk Cousins is quarterback.

Saints fan here, congrats to the Vikings it was a hard fought game all around and I hope you guys go on to be the first NFL team to win a superbowl in their own house. To my fellow Saints, it was a good year one worthy of keeping our head held high. No one (including us lets be honest) thought we'd have gone this far mainly on the back of running and defense but, after asking so much of our rookies all year long it finally caught up to us. Future looking bright and hope to see the vikings again this time next year.

OperationIZ no if you’d pay attention then he was trying to make a simple hit not a “heroic” hit. He only missed the hit bc Stefon diggs jumped and Marcus Williams didn’t know that he was in the air.

this game was legendary. I remember watching this with my die hard vikings friend. This moment had us both shook for 2 different reasons. For me of course heartbreaking. but he was feeling great. I miss both these teams so much

Looking at it over and over the other cornerback had a shot at tackling Diggs, but Williams added to the most boneheaded play of all time by taking out the only guy who could have stopped him

KHII ya know I dont think the other guy could have caught diggs. He was like 8 yards behind the play and by the time diggs was actually in the air for the catch, he was basically jogging and coming to a stop. Diggs is way too fast for a player who is jogging 7-8 yards behind him.

NFL rules required that the Vikings still had to attempt the extra point or 2-point conversion in order to finalize the game. This forced the Saints to come back onto the field after a long celebration (described as "borderline ridiculous.") Appropriately, Vikings just set up for the 2-point conversion and then took a knee.

If Vikings win the Super Bowl. Marcus Williams, #43 from the saints need to be inducted in the Vikings hall of fame.

My Eagles came far with injuries. If we lose next week I won’t even be mad. Vikings 2017 season is looking like a damn movie.

wrong time for him to do that though and that was a complete miss , he was probably anticipating the reciever to run his way , i bet he is getting a lot of sit for it now but i think he deserves it , that one small miss tackle cost them the game , as the reporter said if he just tackled the reciever it would have been the end of the game anyway

I could care less who's playing in the game as long as it is a good game. There are plenty of games that are overrated because there are star QBs playing in it, like last year's AFC championship between the Patriots and Steelers which was one of the worse AFCC ever.
