Thanks Roger. This was the best one I found. I had mine set up fine but it was the configuration in Candle. between your instructions and theirs I finally got it to work. Do you have a video on how to choose your bit? There are 10 bits and was curious if they made a difference. I assume so. Also how do you pick right speed? is there a standard somewhere?

Have not done any specific video on bit selection, spindle speeds, or tool path speeds. There are so many variables that there is no standard. the stock bits that come with this unit are V carve bits and are all the same unless they changed something. They are OK for general engraving, but will not give straight sides or a flat bottom. For that you need an End Mill bit. Same for cut outs. While the V Carve bit "can" do it, an End Mill is better and will give square sides to your cut out. Regardless of bit used, you cannot cut or engrave a perfect square inside corner since all bits are round.

JFYI, The way you fitted the collet directly to the motor first they can come loose, with All ER collets you fit the collet to the collet nut first at a 45º then straiten it and it clicks in, then fit the assembly to the motor loosely then the bit.

Why does it left the first letter last and gp back and forth with the rest? it looks to me that there is have to be a more efficient way to do that 🤔🤔

I received a PROver V1 for Christmas and returned it for the V2 based on your videos and others reviews. I see you do a lot of laser work. I have the laser kit. Problem is on the V1 you connected the laser board to the PWM 2-pin connector on the main board and supply power to the laser board with a 12V power supply. Now the V2 does not have a 2-pin. It only has a 3-pin "laser" connector. Took 3 emails until SainSmart CS gave me an answer on how to hook it up to the V2. They say to use the 3-pin and still use the 12V power supply. I haven't had time to try this but a little worried because the 3-pin has a power wire and don't want to mess anything up. Have you tried your laser on the V2 yet? If so how did you make connections?

I just plugged the 3 wire in and did NOT use the other power supply and it worked.

@@youmbgtube that makes sense. Plus, it seems the imported button don’t all act like they should without both plugged in. Wish Sainsmart would publish an updated PDF the V2 setup of the laser.

@@BrentRicks Yes, I had to ask them the question several times. Didn't get a decent answer until I sent lots of pictures showing that the V2 has only a 3-wire laser output on the main board. Oh, they did say it's OK to power the air pump off the main board on the V2.

@@BrentRicks Sorry, I deleted my original reply because Sainsmart got back to me with updated information. You may want to inquire to them directly but it's good news. They said the new control board on the V2 can power the 5.5W laser itself without the additional 12V power supply.

Just be aware candle and driver from USB stick contain malware .... Better download by yourself from internet.
