this anime aged like wine. and when usagi is flying around the screen, neptune’s attack looks amazing. she’s just giving us a smirk and summons this big wave while standing on it... she did that.

The scene with usagi flying across the screen while the rest fight in the bg, ending on a spiral? Genuinely the best imagery the show EVER used. It’s a work of art.

I can really see the growth here with the animators. This was the best opening yet. The earlier ones had issues with consistency, but if you pause every frame from this opening, the characters are always drawn beautifully. Y’all did that. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

0:51 the way Hotaru appears and turns around is just so indescribable Ikuko Itoh put her whole soul in this intro!

Am I the only one who's disappointed at one point of the song? During the part where she is flying around the screen and in the background all of the scouts are showing off their attacks, there is no Sailor Pluto! (She's my favorite!)

This opening is iconic. It is flawlessly animated and evolves beautifully throughout the season. The crisp DALI version is the cherry on top. I never fast forwarded this.

What Sailor Moon S did to Sailor Moon is what The Empire Strikes Back did to Star Wars. It tells a new story with the characters, introducing the Outer Sailor Guardians, plays with new tones and new themes, putting the characters in new trials, shows growth with the characters, raises the stakes, and feels necessary. This is still my favorite Sailor Moon season.

Here again, because of Sailor Moon Cosmos! I'm glad that they made a remake and used this as the opening again!!

So hard to pick my favorite OP animation as I like each one for different reasons. But if I had to pick it's this one.

The Berry Crusaders all have the ability to fly (especially the leader Strawberry Shortcake and her female teammates Blueberry Muffin, Lemon Meringue, Orange Blossom, Lime Chiffon, Raspberry Tart, Sour Grapes, Caramella Eclair, Granola Crunch)

Best opening and an introduction of it to me... All I thought it was the first season of it... But I was wrong

You see I want you to imagine a show where Greco-Roman gods and goddesses that have intertwined into Japanese and various other mythologies and have been reincarnated into Japanese school students who wear sailor school uniform (ironically called as soldiers since sailor school uniforms were inspired by a naval officer uniforms) that can fit into a modern society without anyone realizing it and can transform and access their powers, all the while people are not able to recognize them even though they are not wearing any masks and can see their faces up close, because they can put others under their divine spell. This show has reference to astrology, astronomy, romance, action, creative concepts, Greco-Roman mythology, Japanese mythology, and other mythologies.

Request: What If Sailor Moon S Opening Use The Actual Voice Sound And Music

People, Sailor Mars has a special place in this intro!!!! I didn't see this until now... She appears first in the presentation, before Mercury, she appears first in the rising flight, after Naptune and Uranus who were upper on the Greek statues scene but before Mercury again. Then, in the spiral attacking scene, she is first again. It's interesting because Mercury is, traditionally, the second Sailor who appeared and the first chosen out of the big four with Mars character being always after Mercury but developing over the seasons and taking the place of Mercury in the narrative...just my opinion....but...what do you think?

Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon Cosmos part 1 are my favorite OP. In 1:21, Both of them contain most characters. But still, in S OP , I think there should have Hotaru as Sailor Saturn; and in Cosmos OP, there should have Tuxedo Mask too.
