Sailing through ORCA TERRITORY to Portugal | Ep. 11
On our passage from Finisterre to Porto, we sailed through orca infested waters.
There were a few close calls along the way!
We’d also like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to the gang from The Moth and The Moon’s folk sessions in Falmouth for allowing us to use music recorded at their event!

We edit out the tension 😉 (kidding, of course) This trip has only brought us closer! It’s hard work but the reward is certainly worth it 🫡
This is great. All seems extremely relaxed and rather civilised. I wish I'd known there was an anchorage. But at least the marina could do the paperwork.

Portugal doesn’t have many anchorages, but whenever we find one we definitely prioritise it over a marina!

@@theboatboys_uk there's actually a brilliant spot at San Martinho do Porto, between Porto and Lisbon. Very sheltered bay a bit like Lulworth Cove. Nice exciting entrance if you sail in 😄

Hey boys, amazing to see Finisterre from the sea. I walked along that beach to the lighthouse in June after walking from Santiago de Compostela. Great video again and quite glad that the orcas didn't come to play. Go safe x

Maybe should have gone to Immigration? not customs. did you get your passport's stamped for the Shengan carry on? just finking out loud. The old fart in the uk who voted for brexit was not me.

Hey John, thanks for reaching out! We get all of our clearance information from a website called Noonsite. They’ve said customs is the first place we should head to when entering European countries but, unfortunately, I this info is based on individual cruisers’ experiences so will vary boat to boat!
