Sailing from Cyprus to Turkey - Our First 'Big' Crossing - Sailing the World ep. 11
We sail our first 'big crossing' from Cyprus to Turkey and we face a difficult decision on how to deal with our daughter's sickness.. All in all another few exciting days in our life on our 14 year old Sailing Catamaran Roxy.

I must admit, some of our inspiration comes from Sailing La Vagabonde, Sailing Zatara, Sailing Holly Blue, and World Towning.. although we've been talking about sailing around the world for about 3 years now.. it suddenly is coming a lot closer, and fast!!

Heyyyy, you made it all possible!! It was perfect to have you guide our first steps and help to get many other things sorted on the boat.. Now let's see what's next. Solar frame is up in the meantime, but waiting on the delivery of wires to connect it all 😜

THank you Amit! Did you see we had the help here of Joey who owned the boat for almost 3 years before us? It was great to have him here, but the next journey, it's going to be just us.

Pro tip: Anyone interested in your sailing channel will also be interested in that multi-mast square rigger that sailed in behind you. If she's a restoration (not just a tourist junk) there's a story or three there for sure

Hi Greg! Yes I know what you mean, unfortunately it's a tourist boat. Still impressive in their own way, but not the real thing at all.. We sometimes get up to 8 at the anchorage right next to the marina. I will take the drone out some day soon to film it and include in a future episode! 😃

Hi Luci! You can enable them in your KZread player. Are you wathcing on mobile? There should be a small CC icon where you can switch it on. Also I will be refining the titles for this video soon so they will work even better!
