I just got out of the army when this song came out ! I had never sailed before but this song ( This Song ) got me into sailing for over 35 years now! One of the most peaceful tunes I've ever heard. Even now, when I heard it , I just kinda day dream about getting back on my sailboat . I'm restoring a 1979 Catalina 25 and you can bet that ( Sailing ) will be the first song to be played on it! wow..I was born 15 years later since this came out and I first heard this song when i was 10. Now that I'm 18, I never stopped listening to it ever since!

I've always liked this song, and this is a beautiful video, with great sound. Nothing depicts the sense of adventure and freedom as much as a beautiful schooner sailing into the sunset. Great job Maureen!

sweet maureen...sailing away...lets go! the canvas can do miracles! love the words.just the other day.i went to a friends house for dinner.they were so hospitable..but the end of the evening was the best..when he and his son played a duet.then he gave me a special personal gift by playing Clair de Lune.by Debussy.i closed my eyes and shared with his son..how the song reminded me of this same thing-out on the open ocean with a calm sea at dusk.my eyes were a bit moist-ur in my thoughts.
