Oh man, don't tie the reef ties round the boom !!!! Tie them round the foot !!!
The main has a closed foot, there is no way to avoid tying it to the boom.

good video, but wth is wrong with that mainsail at 2:16 ? the luff is not tentioned at all, looks like one of the gliders is stuck?
