Anna is a big actress and singer in Sweden, got famous as a child in Astrid Lindgrens “barnen I bullerbyn” which is from the same author who wrote Pippi Longstocking. (All Astrid Lindgren stories are swedish classics), And now she voiced the Swedish voice of Pepa in encanto😆

This song could not belong to another year other than 2002... Popular music of that year is embodied perfectly here It would have been way too up ahead in 2001 and too outdated in 2003

actually there is playing Runaway instrumental music with backing vocals, that`s why she had to open herself harder. they later discussed if this was done wittingly. if u hear the song, the voice of the background singers sounds much louder in the first verse than that of the lead singer. the other version is that the microphones accidentally switched. Sahlene didn't understand anything on stage and only after watching the videos did the search for causes and culprits begin.

First, the sound of the hall and the sound of the air are two things in themselves, and what the singer hears is the third. The sound team didn't do a good enough job, and that's sad. Not only Estonian`s, but in several other songs, the sound was wrong. The Belgian song also had problems. This work was done by a Swedish sound director. Strange, everything was fine during the rehearsals. Some think that the violation of the sound of the song was intentional. Do not forget that we were strong competitors to Sweden. In retrospect, it is difficult to speculate whether Estonia would have a better place if it sounded perfect. A small thorn .."

Кстати, после конкурса во время традиционного обсуждения в студии первого канала (или тогда ещё ОРТ, не помню). Народ в Москве искренне возмущался, почему несправедливо завалили эту шведско-эстонскую девушку. Должна была выигрывать. Россия кстати тогда дала 10 баллов, даже больше чем Швеция (8). А вообще, отличный трек поднимающий настроение. До сих пор слушаю.

The song from Latvia was indeed boring and uninteresting. But Marie N nailed it with her customed-changing performance which was the only reason why she won. Luckily for both Estonia and Latvia for winning in 2001 and 2002 respectively otherwise no matter how good they are in the future, with ESC has turned into a political show which lead to small countries like them have very little chance to actually win again

This must have been the end of people sitting in front of the stage at Eurovision. 😱😱😱😱 And OMG why are the backing vocals so loud?
