Sahara Desert - Preparations Before Travelling The Loneliness | Overlanding Africa - ep17

Welcome back to another video.
I am getting ready for the vastness of the Sahara Desert in Morocco.
Knowing that I will be driving into a landscape which is rather less welcoming is strange but also
wonderful. I am looking forward to the loneliness.

Good to see that the essentials such as laundry get some attention, Every day chores also continue while overlanding 👍

I never thought that the bare essentials take so much space and time while overlanding. But as they are highly important, they become fun and enjoyable. Thanks for watching. :)

👋, I'm #45 like, awesome rig youve got. Decided to subscribe to your channel (#117 sub) because you seem to be a newbie with those videos 😁, and that's refreshing. Your video was referredto me after watching a similar African adventure video (Noralie's bike trip thru Africa). Its 5:42am on a Monday, and I'm watching this from the back of my Mitsu Montero Sport 4x4, in southern France. (Just in case you're a stats nerd like me) 😅 Lets go!

Hey there! Thanks a lot for watching and commenting. :) Yes you are absolutely right, a newbie to making videos and travelling full time. It's a big challenge to time everything but it's definitely big fun. Thanks also for these stats and for the subscription. It's very valuable to know how everything comes together. Cheers from the middle of the (meanwhile) Mauritanien desert. :) ✌🏼

    @@roadlessroaming have you got Starlink?

I indeed thought about it but it was way too expensive and a seemingly bad coverage on the African continent. On top of that, I don't have enough space for it as my roof is covered in solar panels. I use a Raspberry Pi with an external antenna for LTE and GPS, which still needs attention from my side. Thanks for reminding. ;) Are you traveling with Starlink?

Nice videos. All the best for your journey through rest of Africa. Btw what is the mount you’re using for the GoPro and is it available to purchase online? Thanks

Hello and thanks a lot. :) Sure! It's a double magnet mount from Neewer with an adjustable ball head. You will find it on Amazon. Brand doesn't really matter though and you could also DIY them. Make sure they have two bases as it would rotate with only one. :)
