Thrift credit cooperative society is a kind of cooperative society whose business is to provide credit to it's members from its funds. Otherwise Cooperative societies are of many kinds.

Multistate cooperative societies are registered by central registrar of cooperative societies whose office earlier was in krishi bhawan. Now it is in atal urja bhawan delhi.

Krishi mantralya does not register societies. It's the central registrar cooperative societies office that register societies under ministry of cooperation, delhi.
