On January 30, 2020, I celebrated 72 years on Earth. I have been watching "official progress" films and videos posted on KZread by visitors for close to five years, always increasing my interest in visiting Barcelona. THIS video has the most acceptable musical background of all that I have watched . . . and heard. (Thank you!) Each year for the past six years I have been hospitalized for one illness after another, nearly dying twice. My daughters and I were trying to plan a trip for mid-June before Barcelona's heat becomes too intense. Two months ago we decided against 2020 and it was wise even though, at the time, the Corona-Virus had not yet shown its ugly face. Now travel is banned. I never wanted to wait until 2026 knowing the visitors would be too many to walk around because of my weak legs. I have a graduate degree in Organ Performance and am very eager to learn about what seems secret plans to complete the present organ. I have loved church/religious architecture my entire life. Seeing GAUDI's plan and stages of this Basilica Cathedral drew my interest from the first time I saw a photograph. Naturally, I couple rich, colored stained glass windows with modern architectural buildings, so I do hope to visit before it becomes impossible in my weakening body. Faith tells me visits are likely possible even beyond this lifetime. I would imagine there are already thousands of persons who have died with the desire to travel to Barcelona. As on Earth, so in Heaven. ~

Visiting the Sagrada Familia in 2017 was a mesmerising experience. To me Gaudi was both a genius and a Saint. I look forward to revisit his masterpiece and some of his other gems and for the completion of this magnificent church.

Antoni Gaudi dedicated 40 years of his life to this temple and he was very devout.

Antoni Gaudi was way ahead of his time. Some would say too far ahead. The man who gave an entire city its unique architecture was struck by a tram in 1926 and mistaken for a street bum.
