It was raining on the rain fly I had over my head. Strangely, the sun was also shining. I had a friend years ago that told me that when the sun shines AND it’s raining it’s “the devil beating his wife”. Never really understood what that meant but always thought it interesting

@@clintonminer7636This is what I was able to find about the saying. When the devil is beating his wife with a walking stick because he is angry God created a beautiful day. The rain is said to be that of his wife’s tears.
