If she is so concerned about the first amendment why is she silent on Jamele Hill who was let go for exercising her "first amendment rights"
Man, it's not even anger, but it's the hurt and sadness in her voice when talking about her job that makes it truly heartbreaking. Just a bright and beautiful person who wants to just go work and talk about sports and instead is basically let go because she doesn't wanna get political. Feel horrible for her.

I agree with both of you. There's so much sadness and hurt in her voice, as you said Michael, and it's really heartbreaking to see. She's a beautiful person and I think a lot of that comes from within, and what she was put through isn't right. Since when did sports and politics become intertwined? It's as though politics is creeping into every aspect of our lives and the first Amendment only applies to a few.

I can understand that and you may be right but sports journalists (at least those on the national level) tend to be more left wing than even your normal cable news network left wingers--Bob Costos, Mike Florio, Jemele Hill, Max Kellerman, etc. So I'm not neccesarily sure it even matters who owns them.
@oahuhawaii2141

@briancooper1412: Perhaps the left-wing slant could be due to the selection process of the hiring management, which in turn, is affected by the next level above, which in turn, is affected by the next level above ... all the way up to the board and business owners.

@Gnofg: Because Jamele Hill was a terrible on-air race baiter, who had been warned to stop it. She ignored the warnings and continued on social media. So, she got put in a lesser job, until she eventually quit. Sage Steele gave her views about being forced to take an experimental drug; she wanted to wait until more research info had been collected before getting the shots. That's a reasonable opinion, now supported by facts regarding failure of the drug to prevent the illness or its spread, and the many negative outcomes -- and such info was being suppressed by the gov, drug companies, medical establishment, and the media. She wasn't told it was a topic in which she must follow the false narratives, or be sanctioned. [I know a person who has gotten both brands of mR NA shots and the many boosters. He can't opt out because of his job, which he plans to retire from in 18 months. He still got the illness, 3 times!]

Megyn. Great interview. More power to Sage Steele. It's unbelievable what's going on. I heard about what happened to Sage awhile ago when it happened. Great to hear and see her take on it. ESPN has created a whole new news outlet, political sports reporting. Sadly , their political reporting is one sided. If you have your own political views and speak out as Ms.Steele has, they cancel you. Stand strong, this type of behavior by corporations will not keep happening and will cause them to go out of business. She should not have had to apologize to anyone. She did nothing wrong .
Love to see more people fighting back against this insane corruption. 👏

Sage was one of the best at Espen! Going to miss her . Espen made big mistake . NBC go hire her!
"Recently, my employers at Walt Disney requested that I apologize for my previous remarks. As they have made my continued employment conditional on said apology, I therefore apologize. Some will question the sincerity of this apology, given the circumstances. But that's for each of us to decide, in the privacy of our own thoughts, naturally."
