SafetyCom Whelen WPS-2750 Field Test St. James Parish 11/2/90

Acquired this from Safetycom's website before they redesigned it. Another user uploaded it but the video recently was removed.

    St. James Parish is lucky to have this siren. DeSoto Parish ain't got no sirens. We seriously need them though because the last three months (or should I say last several years) have been nothing but flooded front yards and vehicles sliding off the wet roads (and a very few tornados). By the way, is this thing still up and running in St. James?

    @@tonybrunts8047 Neither Rolla or St james never had Whelen WPS-2750s. The only known sirens in st james are 2001-DCs.

    Mhm, the 2700 series is a very old series.

    2700 series sirens started about in the late 70's to early/mid 80's. They weren't bad at all either.

    The 2700 series came around the mid to late 1980s.

    Yeah the 2750 was put in production in 1987 and was discontinued in 1991 and replaced with the 2800. The oldest outdoor whelen is the WS-1000 in 1977 and the WS-2000 in 1979

    You do realize Whelen started making sirens in the 70's right?
