I posted a new video. Ben and his family, whom I met last year while I was traveling in the U.S., came to Japan in June 2024. So, we are back together again and this time I introduce our trip to Sado Island!

Hikikomori = Shut in
-------------------------
Hello. my name is Hiroshi Yamazoe. I'm Japanese, born in 1984.
I was a "Hikikomori"("social withdrawal" or "shut-in") for about 10 years, but now I have recovered a little.
I love traveling abroad. Traveling abroad has changed my Hikikomori life. I have visited European countries, Asian countries, USA, Canada and Russia, for a total of 16 countries. I will continue to travel abroad in the future.
Currently, I'm studying English. I'm struggling with it, but I will not give up!
And I'm seeking friends from all over the world. Thanks!

    Nice trip! Very quiet place. For a Westerner the name Sado probably brings Marquis de Sade to mind, which of course has nothing to do with the island, but it's funny to notice how peaceful and quiet the Sado island is, quite different from the Marquis' history and personality. lol =D Looks like you had fun, Hiro!

    Oh yes, Sado Island has nothing to do with that marquis lol. However, there is a terrible background hidden in the history of Sado Island. Because in that gold mine, which started operation in the Edo period, there was forced labor. Homeless people and criminals from Edo (present-day Tokyo) were forcibly taken there and forced to work there until they died. Now, as you can see, it is just a peaceful, deserted place. Stay Healthy Nefi!

    So exiting to see a place that isn't too crowded with visitors! Thank you for sharing. The shrine in Aikawa seemed almost ethereal in how quiet it was, as if time had stopped. Also I didn't know you had a driver's licence, was it fun to drive there? ✨

    Hello. Thanks for watching! That shrine was very old. From the pictures on the wall, the place is probably at least 80 years old. And yes, It was fun to drive. I don't drive at all when I am in Tokyo. Because there are so many public transportation systems and the car parking fee is very expensive, so I don't have a car itself. But when I go to the countryside, a rental car is very useful. In addition, in a rural area like Sado Island, the roads are simple and easy to understand, so it is very easy to drive. 😊
