I healed my thyroid autoimmune disease on my own without medications just by taking control of my mind, my foods I ate, my stress levels, breathing, etc. This is the best medical advice I have ever heard. First, I removed myself from being around negative people and situations. Next, I took time to relax, eat organic, get sunlight and grounding, and watched my body change. It takes 7 years for cells to completely regenerate. But for me my disease was healed in half the time- 4 YEARS! ANYONE CAN DO IT!!!

Dr. Robert Durrant was an endocrinologist at Guy's hospital and he's written a book called " Your Thyroid" in the book he said that there are two types of thyroids one is environmental and the other is Hereditary. The environment is what the Guru is talking about, but the Hereditary one is something that is carried on from one generation to the other. I have had thyroid for 20 years, as soon as I divorced my ex my thyroid medication went from 300 mg to 125! and that's because the stress levels were gone!

Doctors told me I had hypothyroidism about 4 years ago. I was given synthetic thyroid, other medications and told I had to take them for the rest of my life. But I rebuked it, prayed to Jesus to heal me, accepted the healing and stopped taking all the meds. To this day the blood work comes back good with no issues. Jesus heals those who can ask and receive healing. I'm not sure the exact cause, but I know the cure. God bless!

that's exactly what this Yogi was saying, your thyroid is controlled in major part by your thinking. you think good things about Jesus. we are all the same. Jesus was only one healer, only one of many. a prophet but also one of many. whatever floats your boat. you relax and trust your prophet. that counts for a lot of healings.

“My grandmother...” one of my fondest memories is of my grandmother brushing off the dirt on a carrot, from our gardens, and taking a bite. She died at 94 with all her teeth and never having had any disease, only natural/occasional sickness, but nothing systemic. Her’s was the last generation that had fresh, untainted food available. We need to do something about our home we call Earth. We are suppose to be looking after it but instead are stripping it with our greed. And she is falling apart. I am from the US. OI, what a mess. It is good to hear I am not the only one that hears the ‘buzz’. Growing up in the countryside I know what quiet is, I know what ‘dark’ means. Now, I constantly hear something running, if not the highway 5 houses away, it is the entertainment systems, or the constant lights that are always on. It is never truly dark here. I have such trouble sleeping. We plan to move to the country.. I miss the natural language of the earth.

I drink, i smoke, i work 14 hours a day, but i live in the mountain of Switzerland (originally from Iceland) , my job is my passion so it is always a pleasure to wake up and go to work, i work with animals all day (I'm a vet and ethologist), before, during and after work i am in the mountain. No air conditioning, just central heating in winter, and an open window in summer. When i do not work i spend my day in nature, or at home reading, restoring old art, doing the local antique shops, doing physical activities (swimming, yoga, martial arts) or just spending time at the shelters with the animals. I eat properly (100% vegan) , i never stress myself over anything, i an't even remember the last time i was upset about anything or toward anyone. Nature is my religion and temple, Fauna and Flora are the only gods i believe in. I used to live in Tokyo for a few years, i was making a very fine living, but i could literally feel the life force leaving me. I couldn't believe that people would deliberately choose to live this way, let alone understand why they would do such a thing. Leaving Japan was the smartest thing i ever did in my life because if i hadn't i think i would be dead today, after being completely drained of life force. This remarkable gentleman here is giving the best advice anyone can ever be given. Get close to nature, get rid of everything artificial and unnatural, don't take life seriously, and take care of yourself, not your career or bank account, but yourself . You are only what you were born as, and this is how you'll leave this world. None of your achievements or assets will follow you in the after life or the next one. So why being obsessed with achieving and owning ? It makes no sense at all. Just try to be happy without trying to buy happiness, because true happiness is not for sale and no money in the world can buy it. Just try to be happy, try not to be a major asshole to others and yourself, live and let live and quit eating animals, taking another creature's life is NEVER going to improve yours. Don't eat them, don't wear them and don't use them for your little pleasure. I wish you all the very best, and to do everything in your power to deserve it, through compassion to other living creatures and yourself , and self respect as well as respect toward any form of life. Trust me, true happiness is as simple as this.

I grew up in an abusive family system as a child. By puberty, my thyroid was out of whack. I feel thyroid is intricately connected to issues of self-worth, and improper communication, and chronic stress. Thank you for this video, Sadhguru! Update: While some people claim they had success with yoga, ayurvedic or alternative medicines for hypothyroidism, I have not had much success with yoga or Ayurveda for hypothyroidism so far. I guess everybody is different. In fact, many ayurvedic practitioners don't even address hypothyroidism. They say, take the medicines prescribed by your allopathic doctor! However, I still continue to do yoga, because that will help boost overall health. At some point, there may be a breakthrough (I hope)! For people commenting below that they are considering ending it, please see a doctor and take medication! Much of the symptoms of hypothyroidism can be managed with the meds, and the meds are safe. Finally, never give up!!! Eat healthy, go for walks, be happy! :)

Thyroid problems are basically due to emotional stress and pain that you go through in life. If you have undergone a trauma or excessive stress due to some reason or other, that can affect your thyroid and your nerves and whole body subsequently. I am still trying to overcome my thyroid problems. This problem happened to me 3 years ago after a nasty fall i had. Before that i had no health problems. Same here nycblackhoney24. Although I do love the city. I grew up in Brooklyn and now I’m in Georgia. I don’t love it but it’s less busy as New York. Less pollution. Only thing you have to drive to everywhere but you can get plenty of exercise if you so desire. Take it from me, don’t wait until you get sick to get your body and system balance.

Such wisdom... I have thyroid problems and it slowed down all internal functions - now I have chronic liver and other problems it took 2 years of my doctor not addressing the root cause for me to reach this level of disease and disfunction 1st restless leg syndrome, then balance problems, then muscular weakness, now liver growths and possible cancer, depression, and more -- all due to stress and untreated heredity thyroid problems - My doctor asked me about hereditary condions and I told him thyroid problems on mama's side and prostate cancer on dad's side of the family... Well he locked in on that prostate issue and dropped the ball on the thyroid prostate cancer is generally a slow growing cancer - I will die of old age before the cancer kills me - but the thyroid failure has destroyed every aspect of my daily life. The moral is to force your doctor to run thyroid tests along with the usual blood tests - you being depressed or tired all of the time might have an organic cause. hypo-thyroidism is not controlled early can wreck your life like it did mine... I am a grateful recovering cripple who used to be a strong fit man - no one ever looked at my thyroid because giving you a pill or suggesting diet changes is not where the money is - they get the big bucks for cancer surgery!!!

@brooklyn again GOD Bless you and thank you. I am doing much better now that the underlying cause is being treated using thyroid replacement hormone, but that is only temporary. I have been researching natural cures via diet, meditation, and prayer. You are correct about Dr. Berg being a literal life saver - I watch all of his videos related to diet and natural treatment of the thyroid as well as cleansing the liver, and many other subjects. I feel that he has helped more than the T4 replacement drugs - because the changes that he suggests allow the medication to work much better... Thank you for your prayers. :)

Sadhguru talks about intention and love. If you don't use positive intention and care when you prepare your food, the food won't heal you and won't calibrate with your physical body. This is so true! This is the reason some religions ask us to say a prayer/blessing before we eat. In Judaism butchers should pray and use positive intention before they kill the animals. What we eat should have a positive vibe and we should have a positive vibe towards our food in order for us to be healthy.

I believed you can absorb good vibrations as well as the bad. I learned to absorb the good. Then I moved and gradually started feeling sluggish. So yes environment does play a part but I believe it’s different for everyone. Maybe I mastered living in a big city. 🙏

I believe it is a very spiritual thing. Thyroid is throat chakra. Hypothyroidism is for those saying too much that cause chaos. Hyperthyroid is not saying enough of what you truly feel. Balance! Balanced energy. Practicing a type of vibrational vocal exercise that sends vibrations through your body first thing in the morning. I have had hyperthyroidism n it turned into hashimotos. I realize it got worse very quickly. I’ve had trauma in my life and also caused havoc in return which ultimately against my true nature. I began to lose so much sleep. Mind you iam a singer but don’t sing. There was a restriction and unfortunately doctors know nothing about energy medicine. I began to study it and I’ve found major changes in all aspects. I wasn’t happy living a suppressed life. Only we know what is truly wrong it takes take we must dig deep! Now I sing everyday and do my morning meditation with vocal vibration exercises and sip warm tea to get me off to a good start. Listen to your body!

Well said. I 100% agree that suppressed emotions, suppressed voice and childhood stress/trauma have much to do with thyroid issues. It’s energy related and based in a blocked throat chakra. Try reiki and singing/chanting/humming for healing.

The big problem is that none of these gurus have lived the modern hectic life but just observed it on the outside and are only aware of the environment and surrounding that work for them and hence not able to communicate it to the general public....and thats why I seek those mentors and gurus who have "been there done that"

Another time I went to a zen like retreat for 2 weeks and again l was so relaxed and happy to be loving life again. I set my intentions to remember Mother Nature whenever I needed to go home. City noise IS everywhere. An earthquake had shut down all the electricity and it was almost like being out in woods again. Then all the sirens and fire crews had to get to work. I wish mankind could come out with some sort of sound shield for our homes!! Ah, one can dream!! When I meditate the noise is almost completely muted so peace is within me once again. So ☮️ to all! May you find ways to enJOY Mother Nature as much as possible!!

The vibrations of living in America, especially in modern city life has always bothered me greatly. When I've gone far away from the city, such as the nature parks I notice the peace flood over me. Ty for the ongoing wisdom Sadhguru.

Try and eat organic. When you buy vegetables choose each vegetable or fruit yourself. Check for its freshness yourself, don't rely on the shopkeeper to select it for you. Cook for yourself and your family. That's how the connection with the food happens with what we and our family eats. Avoid eating processed food Be more active. Being active is a key to glandular health. Simply run around or play a game or hop around like a grasshopper. Don’t merely use your watch and count steps. Switch off all the buzzing machines that surround you at least for some part of the day. Be with the nature around trees or keep potted plants at home.

But this is too general. There is no depth as to touch the subject "Thyroidism"! This talk can in general be applied to all ailments of human body.
