Sadhguru - drinking excess water is dangerous, Never do that!

-If you don’t feel thirsty,
if you don’t drink water..
nothing is going to happen,
you’re going to be fine.
-drinking excess water is dangerous.
-drink only when thirsty
-Nobody need to drink water simply
because you think it’s a good thing to do.
-When you feel thirsty, you must drink water.

Just so people know, I was never told anything except I should drink 8 bottles of water a day. Going through school never taught me. I didn't learn until the age of 20 that if I'm feeling thirsty it means I'm dehydrated and I need water. My entire life is filled with drinking soda, juice, and chocolate milk. I'm 22 now but no one ever told me about water, they just said I should drink it, never told me why. I had to research online about water and teach myself. I'm 22 now, and I have only been drinking water regularly for the past year. But that's the American system for you. They never tell you why, you're just expected to fall in line

No definition of what excess water intake is. Basically if you drink any time you are not thirsty? If so, then its stupid. So if you are not hungry just dont eat? If that is his advice to people with anorexia or people on medication that mess up their appetites it can be very dangerous.

  • @daboodeef179

it depends on the person. there are very few, less than a handful, who actually don't even eat food. they can live off of the energy that they obtain from their meditation and drink a few energized cups of water. If you are sick and need medication obviously you need more water and food. Swami Rudrananda (Rudi) only slept for like 2-4 hours a day. It depends on how well your system is running. If you are sick and need medication obviously that is a different situation. Advice given to those who are ill is different than those who have a healthy system. If you go to a doctor and are healthy they aren't going to give you prescriptions for a whole bunch of drugs that you don't need.

My doctor still refuses to believe that it happened because of drinking excess water ! I personally know some people who have health issues because of drinking excess water, their doctors have asked them to not drink too much water. One of them died because of kidney failure, the doctors who treated him said that his kidneys couldn't bear the strain of so much water. So much truth here...all of it. 🙏🏽 Easy to make fun of Americans, because you haven’t lived through it since birth. I’ve never really related and always felt alien to my birthplace and homeland. Always. Those that were born into real cultures with long-standing traditions and family roots will never know the horrible, lingering feeling of never feeling a sense of home, and feeling a strong sense of confusion and being lost, when you’re one of the ones who is not constantly distracted with work and mindless ways of living just to survive financially. Where you are born and raised, you are interwoven into its fabric and consciousness. America is the most deeply programmed, controlled, and experimented country in the world...especially the big cities. My parents immigrated here from the Philippines, and I’m first generation, growing up in Chicago. As strong as my intuition has always been, and how much I’ve always questioned and sought out answers to this reality, it’s very difficult to sort through all the dissonant information you’re constantly bombarded with, even as an outlayer not following the media...as if the information has been directly injected into your bloodstream and implanted into your brain. To be an American who has a certain level of awareness, with the desire to be a free conscious agent, I believe has to be amongst the most difficult journeys, if not the most difficult, culturally speaking, because of the level of sophistication of programming, of all.

I have a random curious question: do you watch marvel?" Do reply when you read

  • @ChristineNavarroTV

    @ChristineNavarroTV

    Жыл бұрын

@@orangeblue01 Thank you so much for letting me know. It’s very heartwarming to read. Yes, they must have locked it again - the censorship is ridiculous, and this started a few years back, far before the current wave of censorship has been taking place. They probably locked it soon after I made a fuss about it, because I haven’t gotten any interaction on it since, a couple comments disappeared, and the view count suddenly slowed/ basically stopped a while back. I wonder why they feel the need to silently lock my comments section on that video, with me having no audience or promotion of the video. 🤔 Says a lot, doesn’t it? Those in power that have the knowledge, want to keep certain things a secret…maybe allow only for superficial/ theoretical knowledge, but for the full unlocking of our true human potential, beyond our current belief systems…they’ll do what it takes to prevent those that can access certain awakening abilities, away from the rest of the population in attempts at keeping them as deep in sleep from their potential as possible. That was a lot I wrote - I appreciate you sifting through it, and the video having an impact on you. The seeds were already there - I don’t want to be given too much credit. We all influence each other, and that’s why they’ve censored the video, and then the comments. I’m glad the video was reinstated eventually. It’s the same as when someone breaks a world record…when others see it’s possible with their own eyes, then it eventually becomes easy for many to surpass even that newly broken record…bringing a new standard, or “new normal”…what evolution is supposed to look like - an ongoing surpassing of what we previously thought to be the limits of human possibility, and those in power don’t want us to see what we’re potentially capable of achieving, or want us to remain very skeptical of what can be achieved by us. That’s why we’re so overwhelmingly bombarded by lies, that make us doubt our own senses, such as thirst, hunger, our sense of stability on the firmament of Earth, the Gregorian calendar, convoluting natural cycles and rhythms, sitting in chairs all day to earn a living, rather than be free to roam and not get back issues, sciatica, and completely destroy our bodies slowly throughout our lives, etc. None of us have any idea how intensely disconnected we are from our deeper and buried capabilities and potential. I’m not an avid viewer of Marvel movies, as I haven’t really watched much film and got rid of my television for about 20 years now, but have on a couple occasions watched for the sake of family (sisters/ nephews/ parents) entertainment. I often can’t stand sitting through most of the films because I see the subtle programming throughout the movies, and take insult to how they completely dismiss subtle communication, inferences, and nuances in the writing and acting (ex.: the difference between American comedy/ overacting, and British comedy). Sorry, going off on tangents there. Why did you ask? If you care to share, I’m curious how the video influenced you. No need to share if you prefer to keep it for yourself, as I respect your preference.

Doctor's have diagnosed me with Diabetes, but I refuse to believe them. I suspect they are pressured into prescribing particular prescription drugs long term, more for the monetary benefit than for health benefits. I do not take the medicine (Insulin and Metformin) and have treated myself with reducing sugar and carbohydrates from my diet significantly, as well as working out and being more active. One problem I have not been able to get rid of is a feeling of thirst. Doctors say I am not dehydrated, but my saliva is often a frothy white if I were to spit. I drink only water, but it seems excessive due to the feeling of thirst, and I end up urinating a lot as a result. I'm not sure if this is a psychological problem now or a physical condition. If anyone has experienced this or have some advice, do let me know! Good health to you all, we must all survive as long as possible!! ❤️

About thirty five years ago I heard the same instruction from another "guru" of nutrition and healthy living. His name was Michio Kushi. After coming to the states from Japan he became the major voice in America (and one of the top three teachers throughout the world) leading the Macrobiotic movement out of Framingham, Massachusetts (outside of Boston). At one of his lectures he declared that if you have an otherwise healthy body, there is no need to drink water, until your body tells you to (you're thirsty). I have followed his advice ever since. No complaints so far. I take a glass of water to swallow supplements, and medications each night, but otherwise drink none all day long. I also drink one cup of decaf coffee in the morning. I also am a vegetarian which adds much water to my diet, as he said was advisable, rather than a meat eating diet. One has to wonder why ones thirst mechanism is not informing one in a normal manner to drink when necessary, rather than depending on the bottled water industry to brainwash people into carrying one of their outrageously priced products at ones side wherever one goes. It has become a symbol of chic fashion conformity, to be seen drinking from a plastic bottle of water, while merely stepping out of your car, and then walking into the air conditioned mall. Preparing for the taxing excursion! How pathetic of western society (America, the morbidly obese, great whore of Babylon)! Western Europe is not far behind.

The natural reaction of the body is to create a sense of thirst to remind you so that you drink water. Nothing wrong with it. Drinking water without feeling thirsty is not natural. The best way to find out what works for you is by experimenting with your water intake and pay attention to how you feel. I've always paid attention to how my body responds to my eating and drinking habits. I drink water when I think of drinking water and I also watch my food, preparing it at home. Many ready-made meals are very salty and contain even sugar in savory dishes. The balance of salt and water is also part of our daily life functioning.

I can vouch for the excess water issue. Of course if you are thirsty or live somewhere very hot and are losing water by sweat you will want to drink more to replace. But I used to drink water just out of habit or because my throat was dry due to smoking and allergies. I experienced what Sadhguru describes in terms of mental imbalance. After hearing his advice to limit water intake I began to cut back and feel much more stable. I couldn't believe that it helped especially after hearing so much about how you should basically drink as much water as possible...nonsense!
