RULES OF MONEY! Great advice, thanks Terrance! 😊 There's a lot that can be said about this subject. However, to make it short and sweet, don't live above your means. And because you're in an environment where your money has greater value, take advantage of that privilege to live according to your honest ability, and then plan for the future! 👍🏽

@@AForeignerinthePhilippines the reality is if an expat is broke in philipines is they are retired on a pension and they are spending more money than they have coming in each month. you see the videos, going to bars, drinking and partying all the time with girls, eating out all the time.

A true gem. I want to leave with a X amount of money. Building it up has taken discipline especially in the US. But I get what you mean when saying don't let that conversion rate get to your head. Solid words of advice for long time survival. Last thing I want is to take that flight of shame back to the rat race.

your advice on managing money is priceless...not only in the philippines but here in the states as well. i can think of a couple times in the past where i had what i would consider large amounts of money and as you mentioned there is a natural tendency to be generous and spend much more than you normally could afford when things were normal. i personally had to reel myself in when i felt things slipping away far to fast.. thank god i did. i got a long way to go i hope!

My budget is $100,000 US a year here in the Philippines. We do not count pesos nor let money be an issue.

$100,000 (USD)would be close on p6M, if that was real I'm sure you would have no problems but I'm thinking it might be a typo or something? 🤔🤔

I go next time for 3 till 6 month to test out how much money i need for the life in the Philippines. A simple life with my filipina in the province. My retired money is not high. Also i will find out: How are my feeling if i stay here for not a tourist.
