Artorias stared into the dark pit, a shade of black that appeared to him as though a living creature...a creature that hungered for his soul. His heart was gripped in cold talons of despair, yet his will was strong and resilient as the armor that shielded his body from the woes of the world. Sif addled beside him. He could tell by the she-wolf's slightly drooped ears and the sound of her frail whimpering she feared for his life. "Worry not, old friend." Artorias smiled beneath the veil of his helm. "This is not goodbye. One day, you and I shall meet again, but until then, I must ask you to be brave." But as he went toward the darkness, the wolf let out a howl, a deep, mournful howl. Somehow, she knew her master would never return. Artorias paused in his steps. He turned to look at Sif, seeing the dread welling in her crystaline eyes. He knelt beside her, resting his shield at her side and patting her gently on the head. "Sif, I want you to take my shield. It will protect you from the evils of the abyss, but also, may it always bring you comfort knowing your master is by your side. I must go now. Be strong for me, old friend." And with that, Artorias rose to his feet, lugging his greatsword over his shoulder. Boldly he marched into the darkness.....and the shadows forever took him...

Quite possibly the best thing I've heard in a long time. Brought tears in my eyes as I remembered people in my life.

"I've lived a long life. A life full of joy, of happiness, Alice. Your mother and you are everything to me. But now it's time to see your mother again, and one day, you. I love you, my little girl. Dad will always love you...... It's okay..." Alice holds her fathers hand as his eyes slowly close, his breathing slows, then stops. Her father was her rock, her protector, her dad. He had battled poverty, the memories of the war, and the day of her birth; and her mother's death. But this battle, it couldn't be won. The doctors told him 3 months at most but his stubbornness kept him alive a year, and this was his farewell. His final goodbye to his daughter. "I love you to Dad..."

I remember my dearest friend who died in a motor accident. 😢😢 I just missed him so much, henis like a little brother. He is very tough when I first met him, one day... I saw him crying as farbas I remember it is about his family. I gave him advised for the situation. He is a very hard headed guy! 😢 But hey, we've become best friend not only that. We treated each other as a true brother. Then one day, there's a news that he died on the spot. 😢😢😢 And before he died, we chatted each other and planned to meet and have a bro time. But when I home.....he's gone..... 😢

The holes in his hoodie were so obvious. She nodded. "Do that for me. Be happy for me." He handed her over to the medics. They went to tend to him as well, but he held his hand out. "Put her first." He smiled, then, as they got into that ambulance. As the doors closed. She was going to live. He sat down by the entrance, blood rapidly pooling around him. "My duty is complete." "Until Valhalla." He fell silent. And all was still.

This is by far my favorite piece you have done my friend.

As I listened, the tune was bringing up painful memories of separation. I thought, "Hmm... well, I can handle this. I can hold it in. All that is in the past now and now this music is just soothing..." and then I saw the picture. Artorias and Sif. Now I need a corner to hug my knees and cry....

I know this video is old, but I just wanna say thank you for composing this. I went through a difficult time, was wondering who I am, at what point my life is and I was frankly very lost. I was in the middle of the night browsing through music, then I found your channel and this song. The very first note made my heart quiver and throughout the song i couldn't stop crying. All the emotions, all the loss I felt and all the empathy I felt when I saw the loss of others. All the feelings I had trouble expressing when I should have or needed to, all of them flushed out and after I was done crying, I started writing my first ever poem, where I wrote everything that I carried in my heart. I thought It's not good, but I shared it anyway, and people liked it, so I started being even more open with how I feel and started writing. So again, thank you. Thank you for inspiring me to write, thank you for helping me through a rough time, thank you for showing me how to feel loss. And most of all, thank you for blessing us with your music. P.S. Sorry about the long read

I think alot when i hear this song. Lucas King song are special to me. I lisent them all day. More especifically when i am depressive. Our when i want to die our feel the blood bleeding in my arms. Lucas king...youre incridible with your songs. Deserve all my respect.

Love all your music, but this one has a very special place in my heart. Every permanent 'Goodbye' i have said, i have been forced into. It always drags me into the darkest place deep within my self.
