I really thought it was a girl singing the hook. Now I've noticed the line 'I say no, but girl you know me'. Or is it about a gay relationship?

Why do most of the hooks must be about relationships, love etc? That is totally annoying to me. Could someone please make a neutral hook? a hook that allows more interpretations would be nice. 99% of the instr with hooks are about love and relationships...sheesh

Becuz they were written by pop songwriters. You can always get beat without hook and get singer to sing your hooks lots of people do that :)
