The Soviet Union was fervently secular. They banned the Bible, arrested pastors, etc.

@@JahJah-CleverHandle The Bible was not banned in the Soviet Union, but the publishing houses were all state-owned, so new print runs or new translations of the Bible were not printed in the Soviet Union. As for pastors, well, yes they did. Religion was not respected as much anywhere at that time as today. Religion is not even respected today that much either tbh.
