This ancient Christian chant is believed to have been composed some time between 1232 and 1240 AD by Friar Julian of Speyer.

This is the prayer for when the AMITTO is worn, the priestly vestment Andrea is wearing on his head in the video: "Impone, Domine, capiti meo galeam salutis, ad expugnandos diabolicos incrusus" - "Oh, God, put on my head the salvation helmet (the upper part of the medieval armour), so that I may be able to keep my position against all the deceits of the Evil One." These words come from a letter from Saint Paul (n.6) to the Efesos brothers and sisters. It is unusual to see that part on the head of a Priest, but it is part of the ancient holy paraments: the AMITTO.
