Saburrtooth WHITE Burrs for Dremel Carving Review!! I was Shocked! - Tool Talk Tuesday ep. 1

Saburrtooth Tuesday - The white burrs for carving review. I was shocked by the way they cut and happy that they worked so well
TOOL TALK TUESDAY is a new segment I will start to do every Tuesday or Every other Tuesday. It will depend on what I have to say that week
episode 1 - The White Burrs
Saburrtooth has hit a home run with these bits it changed how I will approach detailing. They have added a whole new type of detailing for me so now its time to use these to my advantage
You can see how I carve an eye with it which I could not have done with the orange or green bits. But lets be clear I love the orange bits the most
the sawvalley.com store will sell some of these bits and Green and Orange soon

I'm with you Brandon...between Ryan & Jordy. ..the learning curve has been steep...13 1/2 months into it and at 3 months a guy let me ( & paid me to ...a little)do a 1/2 Bear& Eagle head on either side of his driveway on an acreage ,1st REAL commission piece led to a 2nd ( mate to the first), and 4 more different ones....enjoy yourself.,use any tool you think can get the job done and give it your best. I've found that when done if I'm satisfied with the piece, they are elated with it. ..keep burning the dinosaur blood !

Hi Ryan, great video. I like the white burrs for the detail. But i use a lot of oak, and find they burn out quick on the hard wood. But they are awesome.

@@jodytho I use Saburrtooth and Kutzall. I do have some normal tungsten carbide burrs that also work well on oak. It’s just a case of taking your time. If you go to hard the wood burns easily.

hi ryan. I did not know that this type of tool could be used on wood. thanks for the video. I think the wood must be extremely dry for a perfect rendering. considering the hellish temperatures take care of yourself and your family. Michel

  • @GeoffPSU

Ryan, I have a question. I have a Dremel and a die grinder. If I could only afford about $200 of burrs total right now, what should I buy? Sabertooth - but which ones? A Kutzall flame burr? I don’t want to spend money and not use it. Mostly carving bears and eagles and some wood spirits. Will be doing smaller tabletop projects once I have the burrs. I’ve been using cheap bits from dremel and harbor freight and getting by, but it’s time to up my game. Maybe if you could tell me what to spend the first $200 on and then what to spend the next $200 on in 6 months after using the burrs for a while. Any help would be awesome!
