======= Uprising LYRICS =======
Warsaw Rise!
Do you remember when, when the Nazis forced their rule on Poland 1939 and the allies turned away
From the underground rose a hope of freedom as a whisper
City in despair, but they never lost their faith
Women, men and children fight
they were dying side by side
And the blood they shed upon the streets
was a sacrifice willingly paid
Warsaw city at war
Voices from underground
whispers of freedom
1944 help that never came
Calling Warsaw city at war
Voices from underground
whispers of freedom
Rise up and hear the call
History calling to you
‘Warszawo, walcz!’
Spirit soul and heart
in accordance with the old traditions
1944 still the allies turn away
Fighting street to street
in a time of hope and desperation
Did it on their own and they never lost their faith
Women, men and children fight
they were dying side by side
And the blood they shed upon the streets
was a sacrifice willingly paid
Warsaw city at war
Voices from underground
whispers of freedom
1944 help that never came
Calling Warsaw city at war
Voices from underground
whispers of freedom
Rise up and hear the call
History calling to you
‘Warszawo, walcz!’
[2x]
All the streetlights in the city
broken many years ago
Break the curfew, hide in sewers
Warsaw it’s time to rise now
Warsaw city at war
Voices from underground
whispers of freedom
1944 help that never came
Calling Warsaw city at war
Voices from underground
whispers of freedom
Rise up and hear the call
History calling to you
‘Warszawa, walcz!’

Wy Węgrzy macie lepszych rządzących. Możecie narzekać na Victora Orbána, ale on Was chroni, chroni swój naród, Jest wspaniałym przywódcą i patriotą.

@RealDpS but if they weren't guaranteed and not ordered to stop mobilizing their army by the French then most likely the invasion would've gone bad since if they held it back with lesser force. What more if all of their forces? The German invasion would've been delayed much longer with greater casualties on their side than what happened. Or better yet, stop it somehow giving the allies (maybe the French) time to fully mobilize and attack western Germany. Also, 1939 they didn't have a great army, tanks and such yet. They lack the resources thus the blitzkrieg tactics. Defeat the enemy before they could organize themselves.

A significant part of my ancestry is from the Warsaw region of Poland. My Grandmother used to speak Polish to us when we were children, mostly when she was swearing at us so we wouldn't know what she was saying. Eventually we did come to understand. She always wore her babushka out when it was raining or snowing. God how I miss her. She was such an amazing person who I didn't get nearly enough time with before she passed away. I wear a Polish flag on my left arm in the form of a tattoo today and I'm incredibly proud of my heritage, especially that part. I'm thankful I got my personality from that Grandmother. This song still nearly brings me to tears every time I hear it and seeing it in this video makes that even more difficult to prevent. I still love the song though and Sabaton, you are all my musical heroes. I was already a history nerd before I found you but YOU ARE THE REASON I finally picked up a guitar & then a bass as well and began learning to play. You gave me the inspiration and motivation to chase that dream I had most of my life. There aren't enough words to properly say thank you for that. I love you guys. You are the greatest band that has ever existed in my eyes. Thank you so much. Skål

Poles - great wars, can you tell me where they fought and with whom?! Russian Russians burned Belarusian villages with women and children, skinned women and children alive, just because their fathers fought against Hitler, killed unarmed Russians (they were waiting for Sunday when men would go to churches), they received all their lands either from Russians or personally from Comrade Stalin. Throughout their history, they behaved like jackals and did not differ in anything from the Nazis - but to know this, you need to read history, and not just listen to songs

The songs brings tears to my eyes. I've read books and watched documentarys about the nazi regime and WW2, but it's still gut-wrenching to think about all those horrors. Especially today, when fascists are gaining more and more power... again. Thank you for this outstanding music! The polish resistance fighters have my deepest respect!! They deserve to be honoured to all eternity. FCK NZS Greetings from Germany

If you're looking for fascists, look in the mirror. The Germans haven't changed. They still want to take political and economic control over Europe. They only replaced the swastika with a rainbow/EU flag.

This song always makes me almost tear up, especially the line "And the blood they shed upon the streets was a sacrafice willingly paid."
