    The Poles themselves wanted to liberate their capital before the entry of the Soviet army. The uprising lasted 63 days and on the other side of the Vistula the Russians watched the city bleed to death and did not help the insurgents. And allied help did not come

    The RAF did attempt to airdrop supplies (weapons, food and ammunition, etc.) into the city, but by that time it was too late and most supply drops landed in territory that was already back under German control.

    what we all should do is not forget who we are and we are Slavs. Do you really not see what all that situation is about and where its leading us? One people one blood one culture and yet we fight each other while the Americans and rest of the westerners keep adding fuel to the fire and sending weapons to kill ourselves with because that's exactly what they want. Do they not show you again and again that they want us divided because they know what would happen if we ever did unite. Our enemies should not be our own people Jesus what happened to our pride we would rather lick their boots and eat the crumbs of their table rather than joining together. I mean fine take out the Russia then what? Well then watch how slowly the rest of the Slavic countries start to lose their culture replacing it with hot dogs mcdonalds and fucking tik tok and only fans idiots and that has already started a long time ago but we all think it's fucking great. I'm starting to feel ashamed for being a Slav

    D, you should be happy. This song celebrates The Warsaw Uprising 01.08.1944, when Warsaw people stood up to the German oppressor. My grandfather was one of the first ones to come out of the sewers to fight, he survived, and was awarded a military medal for it. Like him, there were many Polish heroes who refused to bow down to the Germans. It ended early October that year. Although Warsaw did not prevail, it had a massive political implications. Sabaton are amazing, and so are you D!

    As a Polish nation, we were betrayed by the Allies. But we never gave up. No one helped us during the German-Nazi invasion. We were left alone, but they did not surrender the country to the Nazis and the Russians. The Home Army and the underground state fought the Nazi occupier all the time. And the Warsaw Uprising was the greatest national uprising against the invaders. But the Soviets who stood at the gates of Warsaw did not help in anything. Now Poles have shown how to help their neighbors during the war, what the Polish nation did for refugees from Ukraine is an example of how the world should help Poland in 1939! France, England in 1939 traitors!!! NEVER ACCOUNTED

    Hello, as a Pole I want to express such a thought. Historical experience has taught us how difficult it is to fight without help. It shows in this video clip. I think this is the answer why Poles help Ukrainians, although our relations were also tragic. Now history repeats itself. One man decides who can live and who can't. His people are as blind as Germany has been since 1933. Will we humans learn nothing?

  • @gloowacz

    @gloowacz

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes we will learn nothing. This story has repeated over and over ever since the first ape figured out you can bash the other ape in the head with a stick. We are doomed to eventually erase ourselves from existence because we just don't learn, when it comes to stuff that matters. We only learn to get better head-bashing stick.

Wola, Powiśle, Czerniaków and Śródmieście Północne were also severely affected. The following places on the list of losses were occupied by: Śródmieście Południowe, Mokotów, Żoliborz and Ochota.

    The cynicism of the Russians annoys the most in all of this. Practically throughout the entire uprising they did practically nothing to help the insurgents. Though they stood within the city limits for 63 days. Not once did the Soviet artillery shell the German positions. Not a single Soviet plane appeared over Warsaw. Although in 1941-42 and 43 they managed to make several bombing raids on the city. And anyone who got to their side was arrested by the NKWD and sent to their prisons.

    Rebuild? You should watch w clip from a Woodstock festival. It's a polish rock festival. Sabaton was on Woodstock in 2012. The crowd giving enourmous energy because it's about Polish history. About our grandparents! We regained inedepdence in 1918 (Germany, Russia and Austria took our lands in 1795) after 123 years without Poland. 20 years passed and we had to fight against german nazis for independence again. WWII starting when nazis attacked a Westerplate in September 1939. Warsaw uprising (1944) was a largest uprising in a history but we lose. After that uprising soviet's beat a nazis and controlled our country till 1989 because West sold us for it's own freedom . When I was young I talked to my grandfather who fought against the soviets. That was crazy! But finally we won! We have our Poland and our capital Warsaw which it's beautiful. And that's why we're fucking proud and crazy! POLAND!!! ⚪🔴⚪🔴⚪🔴

    For more than three months after the uprising, thousands of buildings were destroyed, with particular emphasis on Polish cultural goods. The Germans did it consciously and cynically. - A group of sappers with flamethrowers was sent, who methodically and repeatedly for several days set fire to the Zamoyski Estate Library with the best collections of the National Library, in order to burn it down - said the historian. The Krasiński Estate Library, the New Records Archive, the monument to Prince Józef Poniatowski, the Warsaw Cathedral, the Bruhl Palace and the Saxon Palace are just some of the monuments that the Germans blew up at the end of 1944. It should be emphasized that they did this despite the fact that the act of capitulation of the uprising stated that cultural assets were to be preserved.
