@@achintyanaithani889 like my friend said the largely Greek east was actually the last true state of Rome. And though the germans and Irish may not have been incorporated in to the country of Rome proper germany was first United under the Holy Roman banner and the irish definitely enjoy the bounty of the west. Lol pretty much the entire world is what it is because of the foundation that Rome laid.

Since Charles V, ruler of the holy roman empire couldn’t pay his troops they mutinied and forced their commander to lead them towards Rome where plunder was plentiful. When the invading force entered the vatican pope Clement VII escaped to Castel Sant’Angelo via passetto di Borgo. The few remaining guardsmen gave their lives on the steps to St. Peters Basilica.

This reminds me of a book A Clash of Eagles by Alan Smale in which the Romans stay united and are an empire into High Middle Ages (1200s). They discover Hesperia (North America) and are attempting to halt Genghis Khan from invading Europe. The expeditionary force set to Hesperia is defeated and scattered by the native city-state of Cahokia when they reach the Mississippi following a brutal march from the Chesapeake.

...the films never seem to grasp that the Romans fought as a single unit with segments. Key to their success had always been 8 men fighting as 1, 80 men fighting as 1, 480 men fighting as 1 -then it gets more complicated. But when their shield cohesion was broken, they all knew they'd loose so staying as a unit was always their aim. In the films you see them fighting individual combats, but, if they were to win they'd never do that.

The scene you see at the very beginning is the movie called " The Eagle " and then at 1:16 the movie is called " Centurion ". I don't know about the other scenes though although from those 2 movies I mentioned scenes from them are showcased multiple times in this video so yeah

@@romanjancura9651 Of cours it existed. They named himself Byzantine Empire to seperate from western rome. Cause the roman Emeperor needed the acceptance from the other one. Changing the name seperated them from the roman influence. It was a political move.
