The story behind this song revolves arround an event called white friday, that happend on December 13. 1916, which was actualy a wednesday and took place on the italien front. On that day multiple avalanches came down burrying barracks, trenches of both sides, italien and austro-hungarien, etc, killing between 2000 to 10'000 soldiers. They were caused by artillery fire from both sides into weak snow above...

100 percent agree. I discovered them right before this covid crap. And have had tickers for going on 3 years for my first live. Damn band has to be a teacher lol. Can't wait to see them

It’s set on a mountain because the song is told from the perspective of a solider who died during the 1916 White Friday event, that occurred on the Italian Front of the First World War. On December 13th 1916, an avalanche stuck an Austro-Hungarian Army barracks in the Italian Alps and killed over 200 soldiers.

Another awesome song, another great reaction, thank you for that! As Sabaton fan for over 15 years now, it feels awesome to see them grow even bigger and bigger for the last years. I'd like to give recommendations for a variety of songs/videos so you can get an overview of the different styles. "Ghost Division" and "40:1" both live,Woodstock/Poland; "En livstid I krig" live Gothenburg, "Winged Hussars", "No bullets fly"-animated video, "Hearts of Iron" , "Swedish Pagans" live Wacken 2019 and "The Red Baron" should cover many styles and albums and are all cool songs.. keep your good work an welcome again to the Sabaton rabbithole .
