The ending message was along the lines of "For evil to triumph, good men must do nothing."

The movie is called Hitler rise of evil it's not much of a surprise on how well it ties into the song considering it's about the same thing

5:44 A little trivia for you, the old man here you see is Paul von Hindenburg, former President of the Weimar Republic, which was formed after Germany's defeat at the end of WW I, who was forced to announce Hitler Chancellor of Germany in 1933, five years before the start of WW II.

Well he wasn't strictly forced to do it, him and his allies thought they could use hitler to further their own power in germany, but they underestimated the devotion of his fanatics and the power of his speeches.

Johan Johansson Could be that also. But in the end, Hindenburg had no choice but to... step aside.

One event, from this time period, I would like Sabaton to make a song about is the passage of the "Enabling Act" in 1933. This was the last nail in the coffin of the Weimar Republic. It would allow Hitler emergency power to pass laws without input from the Reichstag, effectively ending democracy. By this point, using the burning of the Reichstag as the excuse, Hitler had already suspended civil liberties and broken the Communist Party, all of whose representatives where jailed and therefore couldn't vote. He had placated the the conservative and center parties with promises, and just to make sure he also had his SA storm troopers threatening all non-Nazi representatives to vote in favor. They were also *present* in the room surrounding the proceedings. A two third majority was needed and it was expected to pass without issue. (There was also some last minute changes to the quorum rules to make it easier to pass) The only party left to oppose Hitler was the social democrats, the SPD (several of who had already been jailed). The only one to speak against the Act was their chairman Otto Wels, who stated: "At this historic hour, we German Social Democrats pledge ourselves to the principles of humanity and justice, of freedom and Socialism. No Enabling Law can give you the power to destroy ideas which are eternal and indestructible ... From this new persecution too German Social Democracy can draw new strength. We send greetings to the persecuted and oppressed. We greet our friends in the Reich. Their steadfastness and loyalty deserve admiration. The courage with which they maintain their convictions and their unbroken confidence guarantee a brighter future." And speaking directly to Hitler, Wels proclaimed, "You can take our lives and our freedom, but you cannot take our honour. We are defenseless but not honourless." All SPD members present (94 were there, 26 were imprisoned) voted against the act. They were the only party to do so. The act passed with 78,7 %. Many SPD deputies were arrested, others fled the country. Many tried to appease the Nazis. But in the end the party was banned, it's assets seized, and many of its members sent to concentration camps. Politicians are often mocked and derailed for a variety of reason, very often for lacking moral backbone and being unwilling to stick to their principles. These where some who did.... and they paid the price for it.

Paul von Hindenburg in the Video realized that he had made a big mistake, in appointing Hitler as Chancellor.

One thing the video got wrong is that Hitler actually shaved his mustache to the mustache we all know in the war, it obstructed his gas mask at full length but apparently he was allowed to shave the sides and keep the middle...

Fun fact: In Hitler the Rise of Evil, Robert Carlyle (A. Hitler) speaks a translation of one of Hitler's real speeches, he in fact repeats the same speech for most of the movie. Its a very early speech and one of the least inflammatory, which tells you how fucked up most of his speeches were. In some countries its illegal to broadcast his speeches in their entirety.

Here is the basic plot (no spoilers if you decide to play) Allies lost WWI, Germany (fictional germany) took over all nations. 1 rebellion rose. You are a strike commander, and it is your job to stop them by controlling a battle fortress and pound enemies to oblivion with artillery.

So sad to see such stupidity as to remove a video simply because of it's historical content, just because you blocked it doesn't mean it didn't happen, but who cares about learning from the past right? edit-(talking about the original link in the description)

Actually, this song is about both Hitler's rise to power and Nazi Germany's rise back to power, respectively, as what he did impacted Germany's economy at the time very powerfully, which had been stripped nearly to nothing following the end of WW I.
