They only used Lotr footage because the Dagor Dagorath(battle of battles) has never been depicted.

@@GhostRider-ue6sn Tolkein created a whole extended universe with books like the silmarilion and a heap of notes that the estate is still sifting thru. The Dagor Dagorath is the battle of armageddon for middle earth.

only issue with such a high quality is you can see the archers literally are just pulling back air no strings XD

А поч эльфы тупо не могли стоять и отстреливать проход? Дырка вполне узкая и рано или поздно она бы заполнилась трупами орков тобишь им тяжелее было бы пройти но нет сделав всего 1 залп и положив 1 линию врага Арагорн ведет профессиональных лучников в ближний бой

Don't think too much into it, the battle is more strategic in the books. Its was probably done because a film has to fit a run time so happens much quicker. There is a channel on utube that covers the battles as in the books if you type 'helms deep book version'
