SAB Goblin Kraken 580 Build

Ойын-сауық

In this video we build the SAB Kraken 580! What a incredible Model and SAB build quality is unmatched. The kraken 580 with Torq servos, Xnova motor, Hobbywing ESC and iKon 2 FBL is the perfect combo on 6s. Plenty of power and Agility as well as quick cyclic response.

Nice. Mines still in the box. I got the same servos and motor but im putting a spirit 2 with srxl2 in mine. The integration worked great on my raw 420. Waiting on my mini torq washers they were on backorder at helidirect.

@@westhobbiesrc8051Would you get away with a 100a Hobbywing esc? Theyre out of stock of the 120's almost everywhere i check where i dont have to deal with customs and duty etc. Wouldnt be flying it very hard on 6s. Also im torn between a trex 550x for €1100 or Kraken 580 for €1430-1460 depending on esc. Could you advise? I am in love with the look of 580 and hate the look of 550x but its a lot cheaper to buy and maintain. Also if i go for the 580 the motor ive chosen is hslf the price of a scorpion at €165, will it fit? (Bolt hole placement im worried about) heres the specs. Yes, they both work in sync with each other. I look at it as an insurance policy. If for whatever reason one fails you still have the other. You get zero holds zero fade which is incredible! I have flown very far away and never wash RX for even a second. I have had so many different failures over the years so I try to build and think of everything of what could go wrong and make sure it does not go wrong! Thank you! Hello! So I run iKon 2 FBL units on all my helis. Personally that is my go to FBL unit. They are a great price and packed full of options! Full telemetry with a Hobbywing or other Telemetry ESC. Full tune ability, Auto level as well as rescue. Full immigration with the transmitter so you can do on the fly programming/adjustments with a capable transmitter. Like spektrum or Radiomaster or Frsky. Data logging, you can have a full live analyst of your machine especially with vibrations as well as a checklist. That is the FBL unit In my Trex 470.

@@shahram677 the Trex 470 is a fantastic heli! Love mine, it’s fly’s amazing now with the iKon FBL. I bought it for the same reason, cheap to beat on and practice with! You can’t beat how cheap the parts are. So my only choice of FBL is iKon/Brain FBL. Now the 6250 is not a bad FBL at all and works great. I’ve not played with it enough to really know other then on my Fusion 360. There really isn’t a bad FBL unit on the market today it really all boils down to personal choice in what suits you the best.

Awww shit! I'm glad I watched this video. The dumbass I am, I was running My Xnova motor on 10 poles on My Vbar setup. 😵🫣 I hope I haven't damaged it? 😬🤷 My first build was the 380 Buddy with a 10P Xnova motor, and I guess I just assumed the motor for the 580 was also a 10P?! 🤯🤦

  • @westhobbiesrc8051

So every motor is different with the pole count. You won’t damage the motor from running a higher pole count. It will run hotter and make less power. Also depending on your governor most of the time you divide the pole count in half. So with iKon governor, you would run a 8 pole motor at 4. A 10 pole motor at 5 and so on.
