FOR NON-MALAYALI BROTHERS AND SISTERS. Gist of the interview: ============================== 1. Sooryagayatri first made Ganesha Pancharatnam video on KZread, that was her first public appearance followed by a music program when she was 9 years old. 2. Her first programme was in Thali Mahaganapati temple. It was for 1.5 hours, but she only knew 3 bhajans when she was approached, so she started to learn bhajans from her parents. 3. She addresses Kuldeep Pai ji as "Kudeep chetan" which is like saying "Kuldeep Bhaiyya". (Her face lights up when she mentions his name). He was the reason for her first recording Hanuman Chalisa, and her first video release Ganesha Pancharatnam. 4. She slowly lost stage fright as she began practicing more and more. 5. Her favourite place of performance - Tirupati, Naada Neeranjana stage. Second favorite place is Tiruannamalai, the place of ramana maharshi. She feels both these places are blessed. 6. She was in 9th when this interview was done. She misses exams often due to her recordings, so she writes exams in staff room on a later date. Her friends writes all her notes for her when she misses classes. Her teachers watch all her programs and videos. She believes the support of her current and previous schools was crucial for her success. 7. She mentions and thanks Her Gurus: Sri. Nishant Sir who taught her from age 5. Smt. Kozhikode Anandi. Mentor and Guide: Sri. Kuldeep (Chetan) Smt. Shyamala Vinod, chennai. 8. Her mom was good at poetry and lyrics. Father used to compose music. So she is trying to compose music now, (sings one own composition, lyrics by her mother) 9. Her father used to feel his child's music had a divine element, sometimes he used to hide his face to to prevent people from noticing the tears as they rolled down his cheeks. Soon he realized that many people around were also unable to control the tears in their eyes. Many people approached him and told him that his daughter had a divine voice. 10. Her biggest inspiration is MS Subbalakshmi amma. She says she reveres her. These are the highlights of the interview, i have ommitted much of the trivial stuff.

Thanks to all Telugu brothers and sisters for the love and support. You will be happy to know that in the interview at 8:40 she says her favourite place of performance was Tirupati. So there is a divine connection between Sooryagayatri and Telugu.
