Y'know at one point I loved the older vids of the main guys at the fire station doing their things and seeing Glen step down broke my heart and seeing the main crew either step down, retire, or sleep eternally definitely made it worse but I also see the great potential this group of newbies can and will do for the department. Great job Ocean, and thank you for the years of happiness, pain, laughter, and questionable things GTA physics have done for us. Love everything y'all do and make sure you keep up the awesome work!

So in the event the safety officer, this being yourself, order a complete shutdown of an active scene, what happens from an out-of-character perspective. Does everybody just pack up and return to quarters is the entire scene vetoed / disregarded,

None of this has anything to do with out-of-character. The ability to "shut down a scene" is all in roleplay. So, let's say, a group of firefighters is not wearing full PPE and is fighting the fire, and they refuse to put it on, and Command either isn't getting them to, or they are also being ignored, than that's a major safety issue and the Safety Officer halts all operations until the safety issue is addressed. Or, let's say the roof is collapsing and it's not safe to be near the house anymore, but command is pressing a team to go interior. The Safety Officer overrides them and evacuates the building. It all stays in roleplay, nothing I do breaks immersion for others. This is how they do Safety Officer's IRL, too.

Yeka said it was because people were often told to run medic when they did not want to so their doing it this way so people have a choice

while your talking about the changes and everything i didnt hear anything abt your other characters in the department, so i thought about your other characters that you have are they all going to be on the fire side or will you have one for ems for whenever you want to change it up for a video. other than that keep up the great work always love seeing what happens next when a video releases

So your rank is in the middle but quite exciting and I can't wait to see what the future holds Is the ems like a subdivision but has its own command?

I find it kinda ironic how Glennane steps back from chief, then ends up safety officer. Like, whilst yes chief is obviously a very demanding job, id think safety officers (atleast in terms of rp) would be slightly more demanding, as your having to be a bit more commanding and obviously, very vigilant, but at the same time, its still very close to what Glennane already did. Also, with the EMS/Fire split, does this mean the EMS folks will/have moved where they work, and im assuming this means no more lower ranks being able to try out both before specialising, as thats how i saw things working in the past?

Anyone can be both EMS and Fire, bit now you can pick only one **if you want.** It's now a choice, where it never used to be before now.
