"Birds of prey" with David Janssen in 1973 and "Deadly encounter" with Larry Hagman in 1982... Lama vs H500-C. In the both movies, the best helicopters stunts in the cinema industry!

Maybe Eastwood's dumbest flick, but the LALA flying scene in The Gauntlet was excellent!

Are the Lamas and the Alouette III's from the same factory and company that built them? They sure sound like it especially when the engines start up.

A 90 gallon fuel tank if I remember correctly, thirsty but reliable and relatively simple

Yep. Even got seats from a 2CV! The French are very good at not wasting money on items that already work. From Citroën too are the door handles from a DS on the old SA 365 Dauphin, for example.
