    Come on up to Alberta. We got lots of bears. Spring and fall hunts and you can get two black bear tags.

    Even though it might have better meat, it's better for conservation to take the older bears that have already reproduced I'm guessing. Not 100% sure though.

    Because when you have 1 tag for an animal, you don't want to shoot something for 30 pounds of meat if you can shoot something that's going to give you 100 pounds of meat. Also there are laws against shooting cubs, and if you shoot all of the young age class animals, your populations will not remain at healthy numbers.

    Also he was part of the depredation program to thin out the bear numbers so the bears didn't KILL all the moose calves, so it is kind of about the numbers.

    Bear meat and Beef Brisket are not even in the same world... Brisket is awesome in my smoker for 4 hours yet bear meat takes weeks of brining and seasoning to make it barely edible... just sayin!
