S8E3 - The Sense of Beauty
First, we sense. And then we make sense of what we sense. Beauty is not first something we think about. It is first something we behold with our senses. And our senses necessarily involve our bodies. For indeed, even when we imagine beauty in our mind, we use our brains to do so. This follows the sequence of creation in Genesis 2 when God first formed a body, and then breathed life into it.
Join Pepper and Curt as they explore the role of the body in encountering beauty, and how paying attention to the vertical domain of integration leads to greater awareness of beauty in our world, and in ourselves.

Please teach us your process of forgiveness. I’m a narcissistic abuse survivor and I’m in the phase of my healing where I want to forgive my abusers, but I’m stuck.
What did you mean by integration for the purpose of devouring? Also, I love your words, but when you give real specific examples it's so much easier to see! I loved the Jesus telling me his story instead of what the bullies have been telling me . Often I don't want to smile at these people in my head because they still see me as horrible. I feel free when I see they're off and then I am so relieved! Thank you so much!!

I loved that example too! Thankful that Pepper went there. Not sure if you figured it out, but Curt actually said, *encountering beauty* for the purpose of devouring (31:00 ish),.The best example of that I can think of is, shall we say, explicit media (so my comment doesn't get filtered out). But I also see myself devouring beauty in subtler ways.
