    I believe all ebike riders feel the same way but there are 2 sides to the story. If the condo mgmt don't allow ebikes to be ridden inside the carpark, the least they could do is provide a parking space instead within the premises instead of making riders park illegally on the pavement outside the condo.

    is it still worth it to be a delivery rider nowadays in sg?i like the idea that the harder u work the longer u pursuit it the more u are rewarded but watching a couple of videos, food delivery in sg doesnt seem to be that rewarding nowadays, with the average taking per trip like $4 to $5 and an average of two jobs an hour.....and heavy competition during peak hours even min wage jobs nowadays pay around $10 to $12 an hour in sg.....

    @@grabadventures ya lor. Panda and now Grab have shifts to book . This mode possibly suit the full time hard-core ones. They need to do plenty each day just to stay at their tier. They are not slaves but are focused on taking almost all the orders presented to them as their main concern is hitting the quota to qualify for the "incentive". To me, its very unpleasant type of job. Super boring, mundane and repetitive. Most importantly, many risks on the roads. Many just ignore this risk so that they don't worry too much. When it rains, imagine how many feel compelled to continue working because they need to hit the quota or target. They ignore the fact that they are not paid employer cpf and paid leave to enjoy rest days fully paid. Also, all the benefits or perks that come from full time employment jobs. So they don't know their income should not be compared with employed workers. Some think that because some months they accumulated $3500, its same as office workers earning a wage of $3500. How silly?

  • @grabadventures

    @grabadventures

    @@grabadventures Gig workers have their responsibilities as much as a Full Time courier has. For fair comparison, we must not compare with accountants , programmers and finance employees but compare with company couriers. And if you do some mistake in the work, you get penalised or can be terminated too. On top of that, the quota to meet to unlock their extra fares make many risk it all doing it in the rain without stoppage. I think a full time employee courier do not need to slog as much while getting cpf, and the standard perks or employee benefits. Another issue with some gig workers is some keep saying how great the earnings is so much so, many perceive this is good money but this can mean less tips from customers who perceive the money is good

There was a period of 30 mins when I went offline while waiting for the shift to start and then another 30 mins after the shift was over where I went to get a quick snack. As I considered it downtime i did not include the 1 hour. However just curious do you think i should include the break time when I go offline since technically i am not delivering for that period.

    @kasinadarajan7165 i never thought along those terms. My full time job is in logistics. My working is from 8.30am to 5.30pm and even though it's 9 hours it is considered an 8 hour day since the lunch time of 1 hour is not included. So I applied the same principles here. But i get your point. Gig work is considered as self employed and every hour spent should be factored in. Thanks for the reply and feedback bro. It will enable me to calculate my fares more accurately in future videos. I try your method of calculating in the next episode. 😉

    @grabadventures Hi, thanks for considering. Your videos are useful but as you rightly pointed out this is a side hustle so for budding riders contemplating to work on weekends or public holidays mainly, the opportunity cost of being away from family needs to be highlighted properly so prospective riders can do the tradeoff analysis to see if it is worth it to work during these days. Families will only see you are not there even if you are on break or system is down or you are travelling a certain distance where you are not earning so that needs to be made accurate in my view
