This was one of the most powerful message, all fathers should see. Fight to water the seed you planted, You went through that much to plant the seed you gotta water it and see it grow and prepare land for your seed.

Hands down the best podcast episode! Our culture NEEDS to hear this. I was in the car crying coming home from work listening to this. I intend to right the wrongs that my parents did to me and my siblings and do better for mine. Thank you guys so much for being the examples we need to see in our culture. God bless.

I had my father in the home but he wasn't present, to the point I believe I would have been better off if he had just stayed away. He was like see me but you can't have me. He was physically around but only served a selfish disciplinary role.

50:27 is when I chuckled and had to rewind when he touched on grown men living with daddy issues. I turned 42 this past February and in April after I finally forgave my stepfather. A discussion with my counselor planted the seed of forgiveness. I chuckled because I know what that "weight" feels like and what it feels like to forgive and heal when one drops that "weight". It's a feeling like no other... it's wonderful...it's freeing! Others may still be living with daddy or stepdaddy issues. It's ok but please seek proper counseling to live life to its fullest and get your mental health in check. Don't live in the shadows of someone else's wrong doing of you. You (we) have a choice and decision on how our (your) life plays out.

I believe this is the best podcast I have heard to date .I have been blessed to come up with both my parents married and 28 years later still together and in my life . Some have not been so fortunate and I believe It is time that the men man up and look after their seed. Don’t leave that for anyone else to do . The future generations are waiting on you. This was fire 🔥.

Transparency: I feel all of this. I'm 35, I don't have children nor married. That's my goal though. However, I have been active in my early 20s - 30s in a light way. I have felt that concern, any activity can lead to a child. I thank God for active counsel and company who encourage me to live and build for my future, don't rush grown up activities: dating, mating. In due time, my wholeness will meet a woman's wholeness and we can build the right way: dating, marriage, building that marriage, children, building up the children, legacy building...

Just came across this channel today. Saying I was blessed by this conversation feels like an understatement. Our father left us (my two brothers and I) the day we buried our mother. We were very young, under 10 years of age. We were left under the care of our grandmother. Twenty something years later, we are yet to see him. Growing up I never used to talk about him or my mom's death because I was ashamed and thought may be it was our fault. I made many mistakes as a young woman and always got attracted to older men whom I thought would love me like a father. Thank God for HIS Mercies. I came to know the LORD JESUS and got born-again at the age of 29. The LORD helped me to forgive my Father. As I prepare for marriage and trying to learn more about a good husband I am thankful for guys like you who are not only helping men out there but also girls who grew up without father-figures. ( My grandmother who was caring for us was also a single woman). God Bless you guys and increase His anointing on you, In Jesus Name. Much love from Nairobi, Kenya.

I understand exactly where ET was coming from in the clip. I also do not feel people should stay together for the kids because that can be just as traumatic for children because of the toxic environment, especially if one of the parents become abusive. In this day in age, there are biological mothers and fathers killing their own kids. I believe one should put the children first and do what is best for them. If walking away from a toxic, and potentially dangerous, situation is what is best, then do that. I always enjoy hearing you brothas speak; keep giving us great content.

EVEN if your child is an adult!!!!! FIX IT! Unfortunately the problem is that many of these men are too proud to fight for their children if they messed up. In a conversation with my dad (who was very present) 2 weeks ago, he said it was too late for my young adult children’s father to repair his damage. I said “Dad- it’s never too late.” But they have to expect some resistance, and that shouldn’t be an excuse to stop making the effort 🎤

Make sure that you don't miss the message. If you are in a toxic, abusive, manipulative, narcissistic relationship, you absolutely should leave that situation. Just don't leave your child! It would not be healthy for your child to experience that and think that its normal. As Josh said in a earlier podcast, "I want them to have a childhood that they don't have to recover from." Keep fighting and be in your child's life no matter what. It's going to be hard.the system is against you. Your baby mama may be controlling and trying keep them from you but don't give up. You have to work extra hard to be that father figure that they deserve. Also remember you aren't fighting against the other parent. You are fighting for your kid. This is coming from a person who has spent the last 3 years fighting and tens of thousands of dollars fighting. If anyone is going through something similar, please reach out. I'm here to listen and can give you advice

  • @mrssmithh

Too many want the “right” to have sex freely but don’t factor in the “responsibility” that comes along with it. Single parenthood should not be an aspiration. It should be what it is…a less than ideal situation you have to make the best of. The adults should value their future, which is their children. The disturbing narrative nowadays is screw men, they don’t matter. That idea hurts my soul and I pray there is a large movement within men to take their rightful place. Part of taking their place is for them to do the, “hard” work of improving themselves. We all need to do better for each other.
